Description:
The Griptilian is a Pardue designed folding knife in the Griptilian Series that utilizes the AXIS lock mechanism, which makes the knife easy to open and close for right and left hand users. The deep carry pocket clip can be reversed, making the Griptilian folder an equally amazing knife for right or left handed users.
Benchmade die-hards will agree that buying a Benchmade knife is about so much more than the knife—each Benchmade blade comes with a lifetime warranty and LifeSharp maintenance. Take a look at the other Benchmade knives we have!
Everything I hoped for, just a beautiful knife. Love the sheepsfoot blade shape, the steel and the spydie hole. Fast shipping, would definitely recommend.
This is my favorite knife. I also have the s30v normal Griptilian and this one knocks it out of the park. I have 13 $200+ knives and this one stays in my pocket most of the time. It is classy looking, but ready for hard use. The design of the g10 handles with the layered blue and grey is beautiful paired with the blue barrel spacers. The blade shape allows for great cutting and it sharpens well. It came razor sharp out of the box, and when I needed to put a new edge on it, it took some time, but it looked good as new
I have 20 knives to choose from and if I had to pick one for a desert island this would be it. Great feel over the base Griptilian with the G10 scales and the CPM-20CV keeps an edge through weeks of daily use. Not my choice for routine EDC due to size/weight/expense but a jewel in my collection...and it Spydie-flicks!
This baby's been one of my main EDC's since I got it. Perfect size, blade shape is perfect for my usage, and it effortlessly opens and closes single-handed. Easily one of my favorites!
All around, this was the best Benchmade straight from the box I've received. Love the "feel" of the 20CV blade.
The design of the griptilian is fantastic and I cannot believe how benchmade could possibly improve it but they did. The g-10 with the blue and grey color looks is eye-catching , and the 20cv blade is a good upgrade to the blade steel. The quality of it was also very good. Perfect centering and it is for sure the smoothest knife with washers that I own.
You can't go wrong picking one of these up.
Fits great in the hand, blade is heavy-duty, the blue interior is beautiful, and, most of all, "Who doesn't love an axis lock?"
i hate the regular griptilian. handle is trash. i own a 940-1 and honestly like this one more. stop reading and buy it. well worth the money.
It’s the basic benchmade, with an upgraded handle and blade steel. It just works. I have a first production one that I’ve had for years, only thing I’ve had to do is sharpen it. Huge plus with benchmade is customer service like Lifesharp (free sharpening) and they will send you new clips, whatever ones you want for a tiny fee.
This is the best knife I own, and nowhere near the most expensive. Stop reading the reviews and buy this knife.
Blade came perfectly centered, nice even edge on both sides, Axis lock was smooth, just perfect fit and finish all around. Maybe Benchmade has come around to fixing the QC issues. Not my first purchase from Blade HQ and certainly not my last. Couldn't be happier!
Great style, great weigh, just a great overall knife
I purchased this knife through BassPro, had to return it because the lock stuck and I couldn’t close the knife. I asked BladeHQ to please send me the most buttery smooth benchmade ever created, and they absolutely did. I’ve had my knife for a little over a month and it’s better than I could’ve dreamed. BladeHQ is hands down my favorite place to shop knives, and the customer service is outstanding! Truly love and respect you guys.
The sheepsfoot version of the Griptilian is one of my top 2 knives. I have many $150-$350 knives and this combo is the one that I go to over and over because it really is fantastic to carry and use. It does everything just about perfectly and the lock never gets boring. While the $100 noryl handle version is a really terrific knife, this G10 version kicks it up to feeling like a high end knife. Buttery smooth both in action and feel with really well done satin scales and the blue liners give it a nice little pop. BTW, my other favorite knife is my ZT0562ORBLK but any version(carbon fiber/G10) will be as good. All around another 10/10 knife. It hits the perfect ZT/Hinderer balance.
Defiantly a upgrade over the standard griptillan.
Benchmade always does it right. Smooth, deployment. Sturdy body along with a good steel. Comes sharp as always out of the box. Awesome EDC, and it comes with the Deep carry clip to make it more discrete as you carry. Mine did come a little sticky compared to my 940-1701, and slightly off centered (nit picking) but I'm assuming it just needs a little breaking in. SF
If you like the griptilian, you will love this upgrade. This is my favorite blade.
I love this knife and feels amazing in the hand. It does feel big in the pocket, and because of that I don't edc it too often. Great for hiking camping tasks
This knife is as smooth as eggs
This knife is a great EDC and it holds a edge really well. I swap out between this one and two of my other favorite EDC knifes I own. My Zero Tolerance 0777 flipper & my Benchmade new spring assisted Amascius flipper.
After having this beautiful knife for about 2 months, I find it naturally in my pocket almost every day. It holds a great edge, is really comfortable in my hand, and (with pocket clip removed) is very slim and unnoticeable in my pocket. It's replaced my PM2 as my EDC, as the PM2 was a bit too big for my taste (still a great knife to have, but uncomfortable for work for me).
So comfortable and perfectly constructed knife. Dead center blade, super ergonomic, ridiculous steel keeps a sharp edge forever. Only negatives are a weaker detent that allows blade to be shaken out rather easily and rough hole cutout in the blade. Can be fixed with new omega springs from the factory.
