I'll have to review this knife when I give it as much use as my last one, but I can review the 105 I am replacing after many years and much use. My original now seems to be more of a boning knife after inumerable sharpenings. It has always held an edge well after much use and abuse. It is above the grind now and the edge is getting too thick at this point to please me. RIP old friend, I can't believe how faithful you have been. The new one will long outlast me at this point.
This knife or its fancy "kindawood" brother oughtta be on everyones belt. There is a big brother version of this knife but I have always found it a bit large to yield for field use and Buck makes an AWESOME large double edge knife for.....well, a defense knife or for folks too lazy to sharpen their knives......you can just switch blade sizes but that is not its intended purpose. This knife though truly should be handed out to every kid that enters 12th grade........or for the blue coast states perhaps when their "Young Harmon" graduates from Yale. Just a great knife that just screams "AMERICA" when you see it. Decent steel that will hold an edge for a time but is "soft" enough to make sharpening not take a large portion of your lifespan. Just a tremendous knife and BladeHQ will always be my favorite place to buy a knife!
