Description:
The CEO Compact takes many of the loved features of the CEO Flipper and reduces it to a potent, pocket-friendly knife with all the class of its bigger brother. The CEO made waves in the knife world because it was so slim and pocketable, and with this model, its even more so.
The CEO Liner Lock knife comes in a variety of colors, blade finishes, and handle materials.
I have the original ceo and I love it but CRKT out did themselves with this smaller compact plus a flipper option. I love it and can’t wait to see the variations in the future.
The knife is well built, centered, and has good action. However, it came with an edge that couldn't cut paper. I guess the benefit of cheap steel is that putting an edge on it will be easy.
It is the perfectly sized small knife. It opens and closes easily, feels nice in hand. I love its shape. I got CEO microflipper before this and I wish compact also had sandvic steel. This one works but you'll notice the difference. Scales on this particular one are bad though. The coating chips off if you breathe a little funny on it. Even tiny smidges look like scratched crumbs of wall paint on it. Scales of the same material on other variations in CEO are grippy, but this one is slippery without any texture. It's not unusable with bare hands, but I never had any issue using any other knives with gloves except with this. It makes you worry about dropping it while using it. I twisted my torx bit trying to take out the scales because either they're not meant to come off or have been tightened down to semi permanance. I'd rate CEO compact of another handle material higher. 3 star is generous considering the scales. The rest of the knife doesn't deserve 2 star though.
