Description:
The CEO is a flipper knife that is low profile, making it perfect for everyday carry. The slender blade, being made of high quality steel, is not only great for delicate cutting, but can accomplish day to day slicing. The IKBS ball bearing pivot, combined with the textured opener, offer whippy deployment.
The skinny, tip-up clip is easy on the pocket and prevents bulky, pocket jangle. The stainless steel hardware secures the handle scales and liners together ensuring long term use of this eloquent pocket knife. The smooth construction is lightweight and easy to navigate through cuts. Pick up a new knife that is a sleek and sophisticated EDC folder designed for streamlined gentlemen's carry.
The CEO Liner Lock knife comes in a variety of colors, blade finishes, and handle materials.
So I hesitated to write this review, thinking I should wait a few days. But honestly, I’m so impressed by the improvements over previous CEO iterations, as well as the overall craftsmanship of the knife, that I feel comfortable saying that CRKT has hit it out of the park this time. If you halfway liked the original CEO models, this one is a definite upgrade. The flipper action is smooth as butter. The liner lock engages solidly and releases smoothly. The flipper is tip-up, unlike the previous models, and features a reversible clip for lefties. The clip itself is a work of art, deep carry, small and unobtrusive. The GRN handle is very well-executed, with a slight pebbly texture to improve grip while the finish doesn’t impair sliding the knife in and out of the pocket. The blade is AUS8 which is a fine steel at this price: if they ever offer it in D2, I’ll pick up a half-dozen. The dark finish on the blade appears to be higher quality than the black paint you usually see at this price point. Time will tell. Finally, I was happy to see that this slick little pocket sword was made in Taiwan. Overall I’d say, if you liked the original CEO design but couldn’t quite come to love it, pick up this flipper model. You will not regret it. And buy it from BladeHQ: it shipped fast and was here in under three days.
