This Snap Lock model has a bead blast finished blade with a plain cutting edge. The CRKT Snap Lock folder took the knife world by storm when it won the Most Innovative Knife Award at the 2004 Blade Show. CRKT and designer Ed Van Hoy are excited to revive this popular design and bring back the 180° swing opener. Take your EDC game up a notch with the tried and true CRKT Snap Lock.
The Snap Lock was designed by custom knife maker Ed Van Hoy for comfortable everyday carry. The Rotating Snap Lock (RSL) has a cam locking system with two thumb wheels for ambidextrous use. Just press down on a thumb wheel and rotate the blade. The blade can rotate a full 360 degrees with the clip removed, or 180 degrees in either direction with the clip in place. The RSL Snap Lock knife offers stainless steel construction with a durable bead blast finish.

This knife is a test of courage every time you try to open or close it and I love it!!! I like watching other people explore the mechanism too even after I had just showed them how it works.... It is a very good looking knife but in all honesty, it doesn't go in the pocket well at all.... But I clip it to the inside of my outer Jean jacket pocket and it's perfect.... You need to experience the snap lock to really enjoy this design
Using this knife is more about an experience than speed/efficiency. That being said once you play around with it you do get a nice feel and opening it smoothly with one hand becomes second nature. It came pretty sharp as is so good on CRKT for that. Has to be one of my favorite additions to the collection.
This knife is super unique. It will leave anyone speechless. I myself was very impressed with this knife it's is intricate but simple at the same time.
I bought this knife mostly because it was diffrent and didnt think i would be using it very often but i find my self using it all the time. It has becaume my box knife and a almost always have it near by. Its also fun to just fidget with
Back when I was in Boy Scouts was about to earn my Totin Chip and wanted a dope knife for that. Well it came apart and lost the thumb screw and the pivot lever and just trashed the knife in the can. I later subcribed to Unbox Therapy and Lew was using this cut the tape on the boxes and began my hunt to find this knife again and buy it now that I am grown up. Solid knife, has a lot of play of the pivot lever. I hate the clip and have removed the screws and clip off of it for true ambidextrous opening and closing. I wish it in a darker stone wash color and should have Veff serration variation. for this blade. Definitely is a gentleman's knife too. Unique and great for food prep.
Cool EDC, Came sharp. Very unique knife that deploys by folding open or closed on itself. The lock up system is reliable and easy to manipulate. Overall very cool, unique knife that is good for every day tasks. SF
It's a very interesting knife on regards to function, but not great for legitimate carry
It's a given that this knife is not the best knife for EDC. I do love the design of it though. It's not the most comfortable thing to hold because it is so thin. I definitely wouldn't recommend this to someone who has larger hands. It is a great knife though if you're looking to collect unique knives. Overall, it's a good quality knife.
