Got this one recently to carry when working outside in the yard...have used multiple times, not afraid to really use it cause it can stand up to the tasks...great edge and happy cold steel switched to xhp from Aus 8...tipped the scale to purchase for me
Worth the money.

Like this knife works as a heavy duty gentlemanís folder if there is such a thing. A little slippery in the hand otherwise would be 5 stars.

I always try to have some more budget-friendly blades on my wishlist so my wife has options when it comes time for my birthday or Christmas. This Code 4 was one of my Christmas presents last month, and it's a winner. So far I've used it for everything from opening packages, to food prep, to batoning firewood into kindling. It's held up great. I did end up putting a light acid wash on the blade, because after cutting up some chicken I waited too long to clean it and the blade stained (we're talking like 30 minutes with the juices on the blade). Watch out for that. But the AUS8A takes a stupid sharp edge and holds it pretty well. When it does dull, it's easy to touch up. It's very slim and lightweight, but also fills the hand well and locks up ridiculously solidly with no blade play in any direction. Easy one-handed operation after a little practice. I really have no complaints. This is a worker, and you won't feel bad when the knife is finally trashed and worn out because it didn't cost $200+. Well done, Cold Steel!
