Inspired by the popular Cold Steel SRK fixed blade, the SR1 offers the same highly functional tactical design in a compact folder. Andrew Demko set out to design a high-end tactical folding knife for military applications. The SR1 embodies his minimalist style with top-quality materials and a no-nonsense practical design. The blade is crafted from thick American CPM-S35VN steel that was made to put to work. American-made G-10 handle scales further the appeal of this model and provide a reliable grip for bare or gloved hands. Nested steel liners offer a solid foundation with a Tri-Ad lock for secure blade lock up. Manage any tactical situation with the Cold Steel SR1 folding knife.

Very impressive!

This is a beast, if your familiar with Andrew Demkos custom knives you know this SR1 has his name all over it. If you wanted a 4max but couldn't swing the cash this thing is just as beefy at a third of the price.
One bad Onbre

Built like a s*** brick house. Its like a recon 1 on roids but better looking. And it has a nice thick clip point on it so I think it will be pretty strong and pierce good. And it still carries good. Just a couple ounces more than the recon. After that G-10 wears out a little i should be able pull it out a little easier. And you can also pop it open without the thumbstuds if you like. It opens easy either way.I cant wait to see some test done it. And that s35 from what I've read chips less than the 30.
Love me some CS SR 1!

One bad ass knife!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This could be my new favorite. Razor sharp out of the box. A hair short of 5mm thick. Basically a folding prybar with damn near corrosion resistant steel. Only time will tell if this knife is durable though Cold Steel has a good reputation for knives that can take abuse.
