The Cold Steel Special Forces Shovel features a black-coated medium grade carbon steel head and socket that has been heat treated for maximum strength. The edges come sharpened to an utility/ax edge that can be easily improved to razor sharpness. Hardwood handle. Designed and modeled after the Soviet Spetznaz shovel, this shovel is meant to be used in any tactical situation.
Includes nylon sheath.
Edge is sharpened to "axe" sharp. Can definitely shop with it. Feels strong.
It's a short handled shovel. Don't expect much. But it does work well. Edge came semi sharpened so cutting through dirt and small roots was easy. Handle fits snug into the socket. Definitely wear gloves though.
