DPx HEST 2.0 Knife Survival Blade OD Green G-10 / Titanium (3.25" Black)

I purchased this knife from BladeHQ's store front. This reason I mention this is because you will not appreciate the quality of fit, finish, and construction of this knife if you haven't handled it. I went into the store to a buy an Emerson CQC-8 and walked out with this knife instead. It is incredibly versatile and suited to most tasks. The bottle opener on the top works very similar to Emerson's Wave pocket opener and fully capable of deploying the blade. The blade shape is perfect for multi use and the heft of the knife makes me think its indestructible. The pocket clip is large but I appreciate that the fact that it is a deep pocket carry clip. Don't hesitate to purchase this one. It's a gem comparable to, if not better than, many of the best folder makers on the market. A beauty and a beast!

I've had my new DPX 2.0 for a few weeks now and thought I would take the time to post a review. First, this is the new model 2.0 with the OD handle and black blade. Out of the box the knife is very impressive. It's a thick blade with very durable black finish. The blade size and shape is very useful. It's made by Lion Steel in Italy you can see it's marked as such inside the knife handle. The handle itself is very nice and well finished feeling great in your hand. The lock was a little sticky feeling out of the box,but within a few days of carry and use it's smooth now no issue. Lock up is super solid and overall at this price range and even $100 above its found to be hard to beat this one for a Heavy duty EDC type knife. The only thing I can complain about its if anything It's a little heavy at 5oz and the pocket clip could be downsize for carry also.
