The ESEE 5 knife is like a tank you can wear on your hip. At 1/4" thick and with a saber grind, there isn't much you can't do to this beast of a knife. Although it's built for the toughest of tasks the ESEE 5 can perform axe-like cuts and immediately transition to feathersticking or carving notches without skipping a beat. Whatever job you've got to do, bring an ESEE 5 along, and you'll never be nervous about pushing the limits of your knife!
ESEE Knives are made in the USA and offer the most thorough warranty on the market. They're built for a lifetime!
This was the first fixed blade I ever purchased and the first knife I bought from Blade HQ. That was about three years ago now. This knife is my go to camp knife and has survived anything and everything I’ve put it through. Furthermore, the customer service I experienced from Blade HQ was top notch as well! I continue to recommend this knife and company to anyone and everyone looking to get into knives!
This knife is a beast! Its size and weight makes it perfect for any heavy duty task. The best part, the warranty is no questions asked! That's right! Beat this knife into the ground and put it to work like it was made to do with no worries. Love this knife so much I want to get a 4 as well!
I love this knife! Having the blade itself being 1/4" thick on the backside may seem overkill, but when it comes down to it I would rather have too thick of a blade than to snap one. I have gotten used to the weight, and the feel of this knife is just wonderful! I know that the warranty on these knives is forever, transferable, but that is because if this knife is taken care of properly it will last a lifetime. It holds an edge very well and no wonder the steel is very similar to the steel used in some of the best cutting blades ever, the Japanese katana. I will be buying more products from this company, and look forward to making my own handles for my next one! Perfect survival knife guys, and I am an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow. I am a true outdoor adventurer, and I would have to look long and hard to ever find a knife of this quality and design, and for the price, it is worth every penny when you can hack away at brush and then filet a trout with the same edge (always clean your knife but the coating on this one is food safe!)
