I love this knife! Having the blade itself being 1/4" thick on the backside may seem overkill, but when it comes down to it I would rather have too thick of a blade than to snap one. I have gotten used to the weight, and the feel of this knife is just wonderful! I know that the warranty on these knives is forever, transferable, but that is because if this knife is taken care of properly it will last a lifetime. It holds an edge very well and no wonder the steel is very similar to the steel used in some of the best cutting blades ever, the Japanese katana. I will be buying more products from this company, and look forward to making my own handles for my next one! Perfect survival knife guys, and I am an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow. I am a true outdoor adventurer, and I would have to look long and hard to ever find a knife of this quality and design, and for the price, it is worth every penny when you can hack away at brush and then filet a trout with the same edge (always clean your knife but the coating on this one is food safe!)

This was the first fixed blade I ever purchased and the first knife I bought from Blade HQ. That was about three years ago now.
