Description

The Exotac nanoSTRIKER XL is an evolution of the original nanoSTRIKER. It features a larger diameter body, striker, and rod. The 46% bigger handle makes it easier to grip, yet keeps it compact enough for key chain carry. Like the original, the XL features a ferrocerium rod and tungsten carbide striker that are stored in the 6061 aluminum body. The threaded body pieces have o-ring seals for waterproof performance. The ferrocerium rod is rated for 3,000 strikes. The nanoSTRIKER XL's great design makes it perfect for survival kits and everyday carry on a keychain.

  • Split Ring for Keyring Carry
  • Extra Set of O-rings
  • Includes Instruction Manual

This firestarter is great, very durable, and cool looking. It provides a lot of nice hot spark and the rods are replaceable for pretty cheap. All your backpacking buddies will want to use it.
    Buy it!

Unlike most ferrocerium rods, the exotac nanostriker xl is airtight, preventing corrosion of the rod.

    Why is this important?

Well, the cheaper non-enclosed ferro rods will become brittle once the protective coating is scraped off causing the ferrocerium to break. The rods are also replaceable for $8.00 a pop. If you cant afford the nanostriker, save up! Its worth it!
