Description:
The Prodigy fixed blade knife was inspired by the award-winning LMF II, another knife engineered by Gerber's Jeff Freeman. The full tang blade is black oxide coated U.S. 420HC stainless steel. The ergonomic over-molded rubber handles ensures a soft, comfortable, but secure grip in all conditions. It's also MIRS compliant. The sheath is designed to live up to the task with a friction-release thumb lock for security and a list of non-detection features. Noise is dampened thanks to a molded softgrip coating which, like the ballistic nylon material, is MIRS compliant. Its also MOLLE compatible and comes with a leg strap and two additional attachment straps for added security.
Very comfortable. Beautiful blade with a sharp square spine. Blade is sharp. The sheath seems good and is quite quiet. So far very happy with the knife.
Never in my life have I had a sheath so bad that it ruins a perfectly good knife. It's so thick and clunky with no room for improvement other than throwing the whole thing out and making a Kydex one yourself. The knife itself it's a budget-strong arm so no faults there. But carrying it is such an unpleasant experience that I can't recommend it unless you have the skill and tools to make your own sheath.
