This Prybrid-Utility has a gray G-10 scale.
The Prybrid-Utility from Gerber is the perfect tool for anyone. This utility blade based tool is one of the best things someone can carry. It's easy to use, easy to replace, easy to remove when traveling, and has versatility beyond the blade. It's got a bottle opener, a pry bar, and a nail puller. I really like this little pocket multitool. Peter D. Below is correct on his gripes but i dont feel strongly about a pocket clip as i like to throw this in my back pocket. The lack of ability to use different utility blades is an issue but maybe can be addressed on a future update. I have used every attachment on this tool and they work great. Has held up well to some moderate use by me in my garage/workroom and doing projects around the house. Overall for the price they have produced a nice product and i have already recommended it to friends.
The knife is solidly constructed, the G10 provides some heft and excellent grip... But I have two gripes: 1. No pocket clip. I'll deal. It can float at the bottom of my pocket or in my toolbag with little issues. 2. Very few blades work with this knife. There needs to be a bit more wiggle room in the locking mechanism to fit a wider variety of utility blades. The blade that comes with it fits fine, as do Milwaukee utility blades. The following blades will NOT fit in this knife: - Irwin BiMetal - Lenox Gold - Stanley FatMax - Stanley Carbide - DeWalt Carbide All in all, it's a good start... But I wish it were able to accommodate some higher quality utility blades that are available.
I had high hopes, Gerber usually makes reasonably priced serviceable gear. Not this, either mine is defective, has burrs inside, or just got skipped in QC. Very difficult to open, need to close with the force of pushing into something as the slider depressed alone won't cut it. I've loosened all the screws to try and relieve tension, that worked a bit but not enough. Since I've messed with it already I won't send it back, probably just leave it in the garage until I cut myself with it or get so frustrated I just throw it in the trash. Two-stars just because it's a good idea and I wanted to like it, poorly executed
