Love the knife, I have a very old one from back in the day and wanted a companion knife to show the differences. Other than the size it matches and looks almost identical. A real talking point in the collection
Ordered this one with a few other fixed blade knives and this one is by far the best. Its got a very good weight to it and fits pretty well in my semi-large hands. Would gladly buy more of these in the future!
Previous to the Big Brother, I had a cheap Damascus Bowie from Amazon, which lasted me two years when the handle broke; however, when I got the KA-BAR, I had high hopes. A friend of mine had owned a Vietnam-era Full size and convinced me to buy from KA-BAR, and so I bought this knife. It shipped pretty fast, and when I opened the package, it was a beautiful blade. I had bought the knife as a trail knife, and it did great at first. The knife was heavy enough to knock good-sized trees over. After probably 6 weeks of use, the knife broke off at the handle. Once it did I could see why. The Tang connection had 1cm^2 of cross-sectional area to the blade. My buck bowie is much older and hasn't disappointed me yet. It's a shame they ask for so much for em now. I got mine for $55 only a few years back
