Description:
The Kershaw Fraxion is a lightweight EDC flipper with a sleek contemporary design from custom knifemaker Jens Anso. Its streamlined design features slim G-10 handles with a carbon fiber overlay, keeping carry weight just under 2 ounces. The clip point blade is built from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a top swedge for enhanced slicing performance.
These are great EDC knives. Very lightweight, easy to keep sharp. They aren’t assisted like other Kershaws, and mine was stiff on opening the first few times I used it. Otherwise a whole lotta knife for the price.
Nice cheap knife good quality for about $20. Smooth action for the price.
Nice sharp little budget knife, but the handle material has some rather sharp edges. I used some sandpaper to soften the handle edges and it feels much better. The detent is quite strong and the flipper is really small.
The flipper tab is tiny and it is the only way to open it. The detent is too strong.
The detent on this is HORRIBLE! takes extreme effort to open and with it being a flipper only without thumbstubs, it really is a pain to open- at least the one I got is. With these being heavily discounted I presume this is a flaw in the majority of them. I do not recommend. On top of that the faux carbon fiber is too slick and hurts the grip. Overall its a cheap knife, that deserves to be, and honestly I've tried to give it away twice and neither time was it desired.
I wish I had read Mike M's review from the stonewash version of this knife. I can forgive the sharp edges on the scales and the poor ergonomics given the price point, but the detent is so strong it's painful to flip open. Do not waste your time and money on this knife.
