The ergonomics are spot on, comfortable in the hand with a reliable textured grip and well balanced for a heavy swing too. I've used it both around the camp and around my property where battling the encroaching black berries is a daily thing. A perfect sized carry machete and with Gerber's high quality.
The handle stays in your hand very well, but a bit aggressive when it comes to blisters. Very well balanced, rarely chips or rolls, but coating is weak.
The knife handle camping tasks very well. From batoning to making feather sticks, it does the job.
