This Kershaw Launch 4 is a Blade HQ Exclusive!
Description:
The Kershaw Launch 4 knife is a California-legal automatic with a ridiculously fast action. Its symmetry in design, both handle and blade, adds distinction. Following the tradition of its predecessors, the Launch 4 has a bulls-eye pattern firing button and a tip-up carry pocket clip. This automatic knife is a pint-sized performer!

I found Blade HQ to replace my Randall King Micro Striker back in 2017... since RKK always has low/no stock I picked up my first Launch 4 back then in 2017. Since then I've bought a bunch - both my husband and I both carry them daily. We've given them as gifts to employees because well...they were always asking to borrow them. Quick, snappy, easy to use and handle. And tucks away small even in women's jeans. Can't go wrong!
This thing is snappy and fits snug on my pants pocket, wish i would have bought one sooner. I have shown it to several friends and they just love it. I ordered the black with blue blade and clip, super sharp. Now if I can just keep it away from my 18 year old who is always taking my knives.
CA Legal, nice color, snappy, what else could one want? I have found that this is a great little auto, with very few drawbacks. It is small and snappy, and comes in many fun colors. However, the firing button is a bit tough to reach. In addition to this, it is not as snappy as the Launch 10. If you don't care about colors, I would recommend the 10 over the 4 (I cannot speak for the launch 9, which is also CA legal, because I have not held it).
This is by far the smallest auto that I own but make no mistakes, this bad Larry has attitude and can hold its own against some of the larger auto blades on the market. The action is nice and very pleasant, and the "launch" button is recessed enough into the body of the knife so that I don't feel as though I could accidentally deploy the blade. One change I would love to see would be a deep carry pocket clip. The clip that comes standard with the Launch leaves quite a bit of the knife showing above the pocket.
It's tiny and it's snappy but I do have more problems getting this one to launch than my other kershaw launches. Many times I find that it won't depress all the way independent of finger position, and then it gets a little stuck in limbo where it won't open or close. I don't know if it's mine, if it's this BHQ exclusive, or if it's the launch 4 itself. Still, when it works it works. I wish I hadn't paid an extra $10 for the blue blade but that's the one I wanted.
