The Kershaw Scallion is about 20% larger than the Kershaw Chive and perfect for just about anything! It has a handle and frame lock made from 410 stainless steel and a blade made from 420HC stainless steel. It boats Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted opening system activated by dual thumb studs or a flipper tab for snappy, fast action. The piece comes complete with a tip-down stainless steel pocket clip and a safety switch at the bottom of the handle to prevent unintentional blade deployment.

This is an epic and affordable knife. I have had it for a while and it is great. TOTALLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE The blade holds an amazing edge and is easy to resharpen. (be sure to enter me in the giveaway, bladehq)
Looking for something small, lightweight, compact, stashable, stowable, fun to carry, etc.? Well, look no further as this is a great little knife. I love the look and feel of the stainless Scallion. It is not threatening. You can carry this just about anywhere and not alarm people who might normally worry about knives. The flipper engages the Speedsafe assisted opening in a smooth, reliable action. It's a pleasure to just pop the thing open. This knife is basically the smaller sibling of the extremely popular Leek. The Leek does come in a larger variety of blade and handle options though. If you want or need an edge smaller than the Leek's three inches, this would be one to consider. An even smaller option than the Scallion would be Kershaw's similar Chive. I'd go so far as to say that any of these three knives from Kershaw would make a great gift for someone who has never owned a pocket knife before. If you happen to be someone that has never owned a modern folding pocket knife, pick one of these up and you won't regret it.
Have had the serrated version of this in my collection for quite some time. Find myself reaching for this quite often when picking a knife for the day. Nice and compact, the speedsafe assisted opening is fantastic!
It's no high end knife, but for what it is it's great. It's made well and holds up just fine. The deployment is faster than a blink of the eye and its really nice to have the tip lock feature in case your worried about it opening in a bag or your pocket. The re-curve shape is really nice if you're trying too make precise cuts for what ever your doing, definitely a nice work horse knife or EDC knife for those times you know you don't need anything special.
