Kizer got everything right with this knife. Removing the huge flipper tab, and replacing it with a thumbhole for deployment was a great move. Not only is it more comfortable in the pocket, but you gain a usable finger choil. The stonewash finish on the 154-CM blade is gorgeous. The micarta handle has a nice, grippy texture and has a cool 3-D quality to it. The ergos feel right, and the knife surprisingly lightweight for its overall size. One nitpick though. While the oval thumb-hole is nicely chamfered, I wish it was round like a Spyderco. This is a big blade and to flick it open, you need more space to fit your thumb. With practice, it gets easier, but it’s certainly not as easy as my Para-3. At 99 bucks though, this is an absolute five star winner.
