...I was looking for a Blackwater Limited Edition Knife by Lionsteel... couldn't find one...I decided to buy this instead...glad I got it!
This is a super high quality blade with great fit and finish. I bought this knife to serve as a companion to a bigger knife while in the woods. The M390 steel has held a very fine edge after extensive use in carving and feathersticking. The handle is a little slick, but fits the hand well and produces no hotspots. Although I am not a huge fan of leather sheaths (would rather have kydex), this leather is very well finished and retains the knife well. Overall, a great little belt knife for woods use.
I bought this knife solely for field dressing and skinning deer and elk. I wanted a medium sized drop point with a premium stainless blade with good edge retention and ergonomics and this fit the bill perfectly for a good price. Fit and finish is excellent and the sheath is very nice as well. I really liked the olive wood version but being a game knife I opted for the G10 instead. The handle is very comfortable though a little more texture wouldn't hurt. Blade came sharp and the spine and tang edges all rounded nicely for comfort. Id recommend this to a friend for sure.
