This knife is amazing. Feels great in the hand, great blade material, shape and grind. Cuts like a dream and (never thought I would use this phrase) has great walk and talk. This is some of their BEST work, owning several of their knives. I will be getting the Titanium one as well.
Thanks BHQ! My long time awaited return to the slip joint world has been greeted with this GEM! The LionSteel Thrill. I love everything about this knife; the materials, the construction, the performance, etc. Superb knife. My new (at work) EDC!
Great construction. Too thick at the edge, so unless you're willing to thin it out and scar up the blade, only a mediocre cutter. But perfectly centered, outstanding action, and great ergos. Lionsteel heat treats their M390 softer than optimal, but still a good edge holder, and way better than your average carbon steel slipjoint. I'm happy with mine. I bought one to use, and one to collect. The user got the edge thinning. LOVE the retractable pocket clip. Seriously one of the best features I've come across in a folding knife in a very long time.
I purchased this knife from BladeHQ in January this year (I believe). Have not used it too much and mostly been kept stored away. When I first got it I have to say I really liked it and carried it on and off for a while. Decided to give it some pocket time the other day but when I picked it up the blade literally just flopped open. It would not stay closed or in the open position. Absolutely no blade retention at all. If I grab the handle and shake the knife (gently) back and forth the blade just flicks open and close. Really terrible and, in my opinion, quite dangerous. Not sure why this happened but I can't see any means of fixing it so it is looking destined for for the garbage can. Very upsetting as this is not exactly a cheap knife. I have other LionSteel offerings and they are all great. This one is just junk!
