The Mantis Vuja De is a crossover knife that sports a karambit body with a balisong/butterfly build. Skeletonized black/blue G-10 and nested steel liners make up the handles, which lock open and closed using the spring loaded latch and push button lock. The Vuja De also features a finger ring and reversible tip-up carry pocket clip. The hawkbill blade is satin finished M-VX steel with deep jimping on the spine.

A well made & unique novelty design
Franklin V. on Nov 11, 2020

TL;DR - it's kinda impractical, but undeniably cool and well made for a fun novelty knife. I'll be honest, it's not very practical but it sure is a lot of fun to deploy open once you get the hang of it. I also would not recommend getting this to flip like a traditional balisong. While it is possible to do some basic balisong flipping, it's much harder to do because of its design (the balance just feels really weird compared to normal balisongs when flipping). It's really more of a fun novelty/utility knife than a practical defensive tool. When deployed, it's extremely comfortable & ergonomic (both with a traditional or a reverse grip) & the hawkbill blade works great as a boxcutter. I've also heard from other reviews that you need 2 hands to close the spring latch; this is only true if you have extremely poor hand-eye coordination or just poor finger dexterity in general (if that's the case this really isn't the knife for you). If you're looking for a more practical knife, I'd look elsewhere. If you're looking for a fun, unique design to add to your collection (that also happens to work as a really cool looking boxcutter) the Mantis Vuja De is it.
