Overall, this knife is very useful in a camp setting. This knife came sufficiently sharp, but I reprofiled it and now I enjoy it even more. This Swedish steel was easy to get to hair whittling sharp and it seems to have good toughness. It is a great knife overall with really comfortable ergonomics.
Razor-sharp out of the box. Very pleased with blade geometry. Tip and belly are great for food prepping and finer tasks. The heel of the knife is great for wood processing. I would baton softwoods only. I wish it had a full tang. Great value for the money!
Used this thing in deer camp this year, was a little skeptical on how the unique blade grind would work processing large game animals, let me tell you this thing is a beast, guts great, skins good, and split/cut through bone with ease,, after about 3 animals could feel it getting duller,a couple of minutes on a ceramic rod back to hair splitting sharp, after 60+years of camping/hunting, this is now my go to camp knife.
Mora of Sweden knives are the Best Buy for your money, and the kansbol proves that once again, this is a solid knife, that you can abuse for years and pass it on to your kids for more, I' m planning to get a few more to give as gifts
Great feeling knife and shaving sharp out of the box. The sheath only leaves around 2 inches of handle to grip causing a finicky draw. Sliced my finger quite deep while sizing a lanyard to help the stiff strange draw on the sheath
It’s good for working with wood, and everything around camp, but not as thick as I’d like. It’s not a full tang and the blade thins a lot towards the tip. The whole time I use this knife I’m afraid of damaging the tip, but other than that a nice small task ultitlity blade.
