The QSP Penguin is one of the best EDC knives you can get for the money. Its straight-edged sheepsfoot blade opens easily and smoothly on a washer pivot and is made from tough steel, and its handle scales are made from one of several amazing materials, like micarta, G-10, copper, brass, or even titanium. Pick the one that suits your style! The Penguin comes with a reversible, deep-carry pocket clip made from steel. Supplement your collection with a pocket-friendly and budget-friendly folding knife.
The QSP Penguin is available in tons of different handle materials, blade materials, blade finishes, and colors. Which one is your favorite?
Came sharp enough to shave some arm hair (not the most comfortable shave), and everything came tight and well fitted. Plunge lines and edge alignment are perfect. The clip slides on and off just fine, and the screws, despite not being recessed, don't catch up on my jeans. The action broke in very quickly and is nice and smooth. The only minor complaint I have is that one of the scales came with rough spot, but that's an easy fix. Excellent knife for the price.
Bought this to replace my micarta Penguin after beating it up and not being a fan of micarta (it was my first micarta knife). I might have received a bad one but the clip was extremely loose even with the screws fully tightened. After comparing the hole for the clip it was significantly larger than the micarta. Swapped the clips and that kinda worked but just doesn't look as good. The CF is also very thin and has chipped a few places already in less than 2 weeks. Overall still a fantastic knife, but I would recommend sticking with the micarta or wait for a little....they mentioned at Shot Show they might release a flipper version with an aluminum or copper foil outer layer Side note: BladeHQ did offer a return but didn't want to go through it all after throwing out box and papers. Great service as always
