The FRN handle is agressively textured to allow a secure grip, even when wet or with a gloved hand. I love this tool. Wish it came in magnacut. The jimping goes around the entire handle lending to an awesome awesome grip. The contours are great. It can be a bit rough, but you get used to it. I mean that it will put callous on your hands. The only thing I would like to see is a slight palm swell, but this knife is just a great companion in my opinion. Sheath is made of strong kydex with excellent retention.
