This is an excellent knife to beat to death. I've chopped branches and hammered the back of the blade through small logs. The spine is slightly rounded but sparks a ferro rod just fine. The sheath is sufficient. I always imagined I'd upgrade the sheath but it's held up pretty well so I haven't bothered. Made for big hands. Excellent value for a functional camp knife.
Survival perhaps

The blade is medium sized and a nice heavy weight for chopping. The tang is full, which is very important to me in a "survival knife". I have used it a bit, decent chopping ability and fine at small cutting. I would trust it out in the woods.
Big beefy knife.

This survival knife can hold it's own when compared to the big names with big prices. Nice large thick blade is ideal for chopping or battoning wood. Handle design is good allowing a choked up grip position for fine work like carving. The blade comes sharp and mine easily passed the paper test out of the box. Edge holds up fairly well & sharpens quickly. This knife will last several lifetimes. The cons of this knife are few. Spine of blade is rounded and has to be filed a little to use fire steel effectively. Pommel is angled not allowing you to hammer tent stakes or break nuts. Full tang design allows glass breakage though. Biggest downer is the sheath. Kind of cheesy but functional. Belt strap is nylon but thin and stretchy.
