I bought one of these for myself best knife I have ever owned. If you are wanting a fighting knife or backpack or carry as self denfense, this is it. You can carry it up right or long ways in your pack on and it will never rust. You can even take it in the ocean. The case and knife is 10 stars, cant go wrong on this new Spyderco 2015 model. And once they are gone it's hard to find one, get them while they are in stock, and as always these guy are the best on fast shipping and emails thank you!

Superb Fixed Blade
david j. on Dec 20, 2015

The Aqua Salt Fixed Blade Dive Knife is made out of H1 Steel (rust proof), which makes it a excellent knife to carry as a EDC since I reside in a region where I see fair amount of rain throughout the Seasons. Also, H1 Steel is a PH (precipitation-hardened) Steel, which hardens the blade each time I sharpen it. If you are looking for a solid knife to carry without having to worry about rust issues, this is the knife for you!

So good, it was stolen

On the review side: plastic on the handle is a bit harder than expected, but keeps good grip even in wet an slippery conditions. Also fills the hands quite nicely. And after going over the backside of the handle once with an abrasive pad, has no noticable hotspots (most people wouldn't even notice the little ridge tbh). Did tie a small keyfob from GITD 550 cord with a cork at the end. On a personal note. Knife was so good, was borrowed by a buddy of mine. Since he liked it so much, I bought him his own. Otherwise I would propably never have gotten it back :p

Professional Diver Approved

After over a year of >15 hours a week in 35ppt saltwater, this knife has lived up to the "rust proof" hype. I give it 4 starts because the all black color is not ideal for an underwater tool (easily lost). If it was not DLC coated, and/or had a yellow handle, I would give it 5 starts without hesitation.
