The Spyderco Q Ball is named for the ceramic ball bearing at the heart of its lock mechanism. This folding knife is a practical combination of smooth deployment, exceptional cutting performance, and a compact EDC size. Its Wharncliffe style blade is made from full-flat ground VG-10 stainless steel with a sizable finger choil for a comfortable forward grip. Carry and operation of the Q Ball is fully ambidextrous with a reversible wire clip, Ball Bearing Lock, and Round Hole opener.
Features:Even though this knife is small, spyderco did a very good job executing the ergonomics so it fits well in any hand size. It is thin profile and a good edc. Even though it is vg-10 blade steel, I think that fits the knife as I don't think it would be meant for anything that vg-10 cannot handle. The only downside to the knife would be the ball bearing lock. At first and can be difficult to get your finger in there to move it, but after some practice it works nicely.
if you know anything about self defense then you know how good this little guy will help you take down your worst enemy. if you don't believe look into the knifes background. i bought 2 just in case i lose one.
I love this knife. It's great for an edc change up. It's also quite unique but very useful. My only complaint is the use of VG10, but it's not a terrible steel. BladeHQ was also great getting my knife to me in 3 business days.
Great for those cardboard box battles and so smooth.
The knife is gorgeous and very small: it would have been a perfect gentleman’s knife, but I found it very difficult to disengage the ball bearing locking mechanism, even with two hands. It’s the only Spyderco I’ve ever returned...
Of every spyderco I have ever owned I loved it. This is the first spyderco I have ever hated. The ball lock makes the knife unusable. I am surprised spyderco let this model leave the factory. Wow. I have purchased 5 separate spyderco models and this is the first time I have ever hated one.
