A solid lightweight and rustproof knife
Paul C. on Sep 15, 2021

I bought this knife for backpacking in wet conditions. I have no regrets. It is more comfortable in the hand than both the delica and dragonfly. Opening and closing this knife is about as easy as the delica too. For my needs, I have no worries about the safety of the locking mechanism either. This is an especially great backpacking knife if you are fishing, as the blade is reasonably long, slicy, and super corrosion resistant.

No worries

I thought this would be perfect for fishing and camping in challenging conditions like around salt water where you'd worry about a more reactive steel, and it seems like it's going to be perfect for that. I did wonder about the slipjoint, but it goes into position very firmly and the finger choil is a measure of protection for you. Having handled it now I'm reassured about that. With normal, reasonably careful use it should be no problem, and the reasonable price you pay is a nice trade-off. Well sharp OOTB and LC200N is reputed to be better at edge retention than H1. A great specialist to have on the team is what I think.
