Bad Steel
Jacob H.
I bought this knife for the primary reason of just owning a butterfly knife. As I was practicing flipping this knife, I accidentally dropped it and it hit the metal part of a chair. I noticed a particularly large gash in the blade, so I proceeded to smack it on the edge of my glass desk to test the steel's hardness - I was not impressed. There are now several knicks in the cutting edge from the glass. I think this is telling, as they must use a weaker steel or don't properly heat treat. Either one is an issue in my eyes. Also the blade angles are very uneven. I'm still satisfied as this is mostly a started butterfly knife for me -- however if I ever planned to EDC a butterfly knife like this, I would pick one up with much better steel.
Great for the price

For a knife at this price range itís 4 stars. Itís everything you need, but it doesnít go above and beyond. The lock pin gets loose, and itís not very presentable, but it flips very well and the blade is quality.
Amazing Knife For The Price

Its been a few weeks since I received this knife and now I am competent in my review. I received this knife as a birthday gift from a friend. And I gotta say for 64 bucks it totally worth it. Comes sharp and well oiled right out of the box. Can be a little stiff from the beginning, but give it a few good flips and it becomes smooth as butter to flip. Handle texture makes for an excellent grip and who doesn't like damascus? Great knife
Great knife Overall, but minor details are worth considering

I bought one of these recently, and It is one of the better balisongs for this price range. The Damascus has a nice pattern, but it's not too intricate, most likely due to the low price. Although the knife looks nice, some minor details threw me off. First off, the silver vein on one handle is darker than the other, which makes me think my handles came from 2 separate paint jobs. Secondly, the blade grind is uneven, but not too far off. If you're looking to display this knife, you have to get lucky to have the perfect one. Of course, this is not a big deal if you aren't a perfectionist or have OCD (Unlike me). However, if you're looking to flip this knife, I say get it.

I hadnít owned a butterfly knife since I was a kid and was on the site to buy a Damascus auto and this came up in the Damascus search. For the price I thought what the hell. Itís on the lower end as far as price but it seems to perform pretty good. Not a ton of folds on the Damascus but for the price that is to be expected.
In between the cheap-o's and the quality balisongs.

I've had this knife for a few years now and love it. The blade is beautiful and so is the handle (while it lasts, more on that later). The weight is great and it is much easier to manipulate than the cheap/light knives that most people get as their first bali. I learned basic and advanced openings, spins, and throws on a cheap bali and when I picked up this knife I was shocked at how much more consistent I was. More weight gives it more stability.

The handle is definitely attractive, but "tough" is not a word I would use to describe it. Mine started chipping off after a few months, although even now a few years later the chipped parts are very small. The fact that it chipped early but not extensively makes me think that I may have received a knife that was coated irregularly. I also removed the safety as soon as I received it and it was fairly easy to accomplish.

Overall I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone who likes damascus or is looking for a step above "basic".
Fantastic knife

I was very impressed by this. It came a little tight on the handles but after sole warming up it was great. The handles are light but still sturdy and strong. The blade is gorgeous and came razor sharp. Very easy to sharpen too. I've been using this knife for a few months and I'd recommend this extremely. I also own a bear ops 200 which is $100 and this is 5 times better. Definitely would buy it again
