For years, the Benchmade Bugout has been the king of EDC knives.But as great as it is, some people have shallow pockets, small hands, or just want a smaller knife. Benchmade came through for them with the Mini Bugout! It has the same simple design and premium materials as the full-sized version, but has a shorter blade and a smaller handle. Its still large enough for a four-finger grip, but it doesnt have any extra, unneeded material. The original Bugout boiled the concept of a knife down to its essence, and this knife boils that one down further, creating a folder devoid of fluff, rich with functionality, and even more accessible than before.
The Benchmade Bugout is available in two sizes and several colors and has great aftermarket customization options.
Ill tell you what...I RARELY leave reviews. And I RARELY buy the "mini" versions of any full size folder. But I wanted to slim down on my EDC stuff so I thought Id try the mini Bugout. Benchmade did an awesome job on this knife! Feels great in the hand, its SOLID, and it just feels like it can accomplish the same job as its full size brother! I may buy another one! I does not disappoint.
I know it says it's lightweight etcetc but its actually crazy how LIGHT this knife actually is. I love it to death, amazing quality, good for an everyday carry as well as great for a starter knife. 10/10, thinking about buying a regular bugout next.
I have this one and the $250 bugout elite and I find myself reaching for this one more often then that and most my spydercos. I like it better then the lil native and the dragonfly 2 I like to play with the lock but i also love it for how light it is, in basketball shorts you forget it's there and the clip is so good I never worry about it falling out my pocket. And the lock is better on the mini in my opinion then the bugout 535-3
Love this knife, this was my first purchase on blade hq. People who work here are so nice and amazing. Back on point they sent the knife very quickly. The cf elite bugout just feels perfect for me. it is very very lightweight. When I am carrying it. It feels like a feather in my pocket. Everything is so nice on this knife
I like the small size of this knife, and I love that the weight of it just makes it disappear, and I LOVE the action and Axis lock. What I don't like is that it actually carries surprisingly bulky in the pocket. Don't get me wrong, it's not like it's big or something, but the squared off end isn't pleasant.
The knife felt great, breaking it in for about a week. I was pleased with the fit in my hand (small glove size) and the feel of the action. I was surprised when breaking it in broke it, as one Omega spring let go and its angle (not arc) could be spotted from the bottom edge of the scales. BHQ customer service was helpful in setting up a return, and I'll probably roll the dice again with its bigger brother.
