outdone
Bill K. on Dec 7, 2019

You guys at Blade HQ have outdone yourselves with this one. The knife actually arrived a day early! very sharp out of the box and perfect in every way. Everyone who sees this loves it. I've received several comments - all good. I have a few butterfly knives and this performs right up there with the big boys. can't beat it for the price. Blade HQ is awsome

Great Knife
Denton L. on Feb 7, 2019

This is my first butterfly knife. That being said I have had other quality blades from Benchmade and other quality makers. This blade is made of solid and quality materials, it has a good balance and seems to want to flip itself at times. I have cut myself but that comes with learning this art form. Only complaint I could have is the weight may too heavy, it tends to leave knuckles sore, but again inexperience could be the cause. Bottom line is this is a quality build knife made of great materials from a reputable manufacture at a great cost. Not sure what more I could have asked for from my first Bali-Song.

beautiful

awesome knife!

Great!
Raziel S. on Jan 23, 2021

This knife is a little weird to get used to, but overall I actually love the way it flips. I've been putting it to use at work and have to say is one of my favorite ones in my collection.

Decent knife, but
Trent H. on Aug 26, 2020

Pros- price, smooth action, nice blade design, good grip on scales. Cons - multiple screw heads (latch pivot and scale) are stripped and mangled out of box, brand etching on blade is very rough. Overall a good knife, the only real detractor is the screw heads, as I will have to replace them entirely if I need to tighten something or want to switch the latch to the other side.

Great knife
Kimani R. on Nov 30, 2018

While this is my first Balisong I think it performs great. This knife does come well lubed but a quick clean is all it needed. I did not have any of the before mentioned issues with loosening the screws to better operability so I think IMO this is a great knife for the beginning Balisong user. Its durable enough to last the test of time without breaking the bank. My limited experience is the only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating.

Not a great flipper
Matthew P. on Jul 28, 2020

To start off I do want to say that this is not a bad knife. It is in fact very durable. I've put in a fair amount of use in mine- dropped on concrete, in water etc, and it is still in great condition. As a practical balisong this knife is an impeccable choice for the price. However... this knife is NOT a great flipper the balance is frankly way off. The handles are just not long enough and the blade is too heavy comparatively. I would go with the Kershaw Lucha if you're really looking to save money on a good flipper. but if you either don't care about flipping or just want a beater than you can't go wrong with this knife.

pretty good
Stephen O. on Feb 10, 2019

this is definitely a good knife for the price. i would say bear ops needs to up their game with quality control for sure i lost a few screws that hold the G10 on because the holes were not tapped fully, i found some replacements on a balisong kit site, bear ops wont send replacements i tried getting some multiple times with 0 success. the tang pins are a hair uneven with how deeo they are pressed in. other than that the knife is great i even made a scout carry kydex sheath for it now i can actually carry it in a comfortable manor as an EDC. i would recommend this, just be careful with it until you can loctite the screws
