Great design, not the best Vantage version

The Large Vantage knives are excellent pocket knives. Let's cover the bad first: I don't like this handle material. It's meant to look like wood but feels nothing like it. Too smooth and slippery.

Next bad is the flipping. These have an opening hole that is ok to use. With some adjustment you can get them to flip ok. I would prefer that they just give these a thumb stud and remove the flipper tab. To much other great flipper competition.

Edge sharpening can be variable. Don't care. Every knife needs to be sharpened eventually. 420HC sharpens easily. If your edge isn't great, just sharpen it.

Now for the great: this blade cuts like crazy. The 420HC steel is more than adequate with Buck's heat treatment.

This knife has one of the best clips out of all the folders I've tried or owned (hundreds). No exaggeration - this is a great clip and the clip attachment is how all the rest of them should be done.

I think a better option is the $27 version of this knife with a nylon handle. The handle is plain black but feels better and has more grip. The blade and everything else are the same.

Great knife. This is not a great version of it, imo.

The grind on this knife is so ruff it will stop you finger nail when you run it down it. The cutting edge is ground with such little care they should be
Embarist. No detent ball just a indent on the lock bar. The frame is riveted together causing the frame to pinch together at the pivot making it almost pointless to adjust it. The pivot bushing are so small and under size making this a two hand open and close knife. This knife will never flip smoothly. The flipper is almost unusable, to small and needs jimping. Feels much cheeper then it is.
