Description
Description
The CRKT M16-14 Big Dog is a hefty utility version of the popular Kit Carson design. It features a large open build InterFrame handle with skeletonized G-10 scales and CRKT's AutoLAWKS safety, which turns the folder into a virtual fixed blade automatically. The pocket clip is 4-way reversible for every possible carry type, but not designed for tip-up in-pocket carry.
The M16-14SFG has a black titanium nitride coated Tanto blade with aggressive Veff serrations. The hollow ground blade has two Carson Flippers that offer quick and smooth one-hand opening and closing. The frame and hardware are also tactical black finished.

This knife really satisfies everything it is designed for. This means that it might not satisfy every user. The user definitely needs relatively large hands and a bit of fineness in the finger tips. Operating the Auto-Lawks system takes a bit of practice. I got it in a matter of days by just player with it 5 minutes a day. If needed, one can remove the Auto-Lawks just by opening up the knife. The Cross-guard, G-10, and Ergos work together to produce a handle that is basically guaranteed to not slip out of or in your hand. My hand is a touch small for this knife, yet forward and reverse grip feel perfectly fine. Action is good for a near 4 inch blade. The VEFF serrations stayed sharp for a long time now and still cut everything I throw at it. The steel is just great and especially with the factory sharp quality.
