The Zancudo folding knife, designed by Mike Perrin of ESEE and Randall's Adventure & Training (RAT).
Zancudo is the spanish word for mosquito and the next awesome folder from Mike Perrin of ESEE. This folder features a proven blade shape that you'll recognize from the Laser Strike fixed blade. The handle is outfitted with a molded polymer front and steel frame lock back with pocket clip.
This knife is very well built and solid. It's profile is thin and I can't tell that it's in my pocket. There's no hotspots with a firm purchase. The detent is strong and sufficient enough to flick the blade open, and the lock up is solid with no blade play. It's razor sharp out of the box. It comes tip down, but I changed it to tip up and it fits in the pocket without protruding too much out of the top of my pocket, and the clip in the tip up position acts as an over travel stop for the frame lock. Excellent knife.
I love this knife. One of my favorites. Lightweight, thin and very comfortable in the pocket. Good sharpness right from the box. Excellent action, reliable lock. Great quality, nice price. Love the desert tan color. Unfortunately, I lost my knife. Planning to get a new one with the same color.
