Exoskeleton Knives EVO-K
The Exoskeleton Knives EVO-K is a bold evolution in folding karambit design, combining mechanical creativity with an addictively interactive experience. Designed by Jerry—the mind behind Reate’s EXO-K Karambit series—the EVO-K pushes the concept even further with a uniquely dynamic actuation system. A reversible pocket clip allows for both right- and left-side carry, keeping it adaptable before it even leaves your pocket.
What truly sets the EVO-K apart is its button-lock gravity mechanism paired with a shifting handle frame. Press the button and shift the knife to move a portion of the handle out of the blade’s path. From there, a flick in the opposite direction sends the hawkbill blade swinging freely into deployment—while simultaneously guiding the handle/frame back over the blade to lock it in place. Closing follows the same fluid logic in reverse: press the button, flick to open the handle/frame, which allows the blade to fall closed, then continue the motion as the handle folds back over the blade to secure it. It’s a seamless, kinetic sequence that feels engineered for motion.
There’s a learning curve at first—but that’s exactly where the EVO-K shines. Once the rhythm clicks, the knife becomes incredibly fidget-friendly, with a satisfying, repeatable flow that’s hard to put down. It’s a fresh take on the Karambit that doesn’t just look different—it moves different, redefining what a folding knife can feel like in hand.
