This is a really solid knife with a powerful spring. The steel is incredibly hard, so its a pain to sharpen, but once sharp, it STAYS sharp. Out of the box this would cut paper well, but not split hairs. With a little love from a ceramic fine stone and strop, it's hair popping. The blade to handle ratio is great, so you've got a 4" blade and just over a 4" handle, as opposed to a cold steel knife where you've got a much larger handle than blade. It's very reliable automatic open as I've been opening and closing it non-stop at my desk for a couple weeks. The sound when it opens is kind of a thud rather than a snap, but that's seriously my only complaint.
Let me start by saying i have beefy hands and this knife is a perfect fit. It is snappy but not so much that it will fly out of your hand. The blade is the perfect size for any kind of food prep or self defense. The CPM154 blade comes VERY sharp and after cutting nylon rope, cardboard, plastic and carving wood i honestly cant even tell it has been use, the finish is still flawless. The more i carry this thing the more i love it.
This is my 3rd Kershaw auto, have had 2 Launch 3's prior which I loved. The 6 is good looking, long and sleek, reminds me of a Piranha auto. My gripes are 1) this is by far the weakest firing auto I have owned amongst my other Kershaws, Protechs and Microtechs and 2) for my hand, poor ergonomics, hard to get a good handle on the slim frame. Love Kershaws but this one is a miss.
