The Kershaw Launch 8 takes its design from the classic Italian stilettos of old. The pivot is set below the carbon fiber insert to give the Launch 8 a clean, classic look. With modern knife materials, such as carbon fiber and aluminum, this lightweight automatic is sure to enthrall old and new collectors alike. It includes a tip-up pocket clip for both left and right hand carry.
Customer Reviews
He liked it, & I値l save my pennies to get one for me!
Worth the purchase if you can carry an auto and don't do "hard use" tasks, the super fine tip pierces like a dream but would not last long in a rough atmosphere.
The knife fits well in the suit pocket and the grey handle with black clip blend in nicely. This one has displaced several high quality knives just from the cool factor alone!
The weight makes it feel very snappy to open but I guarantee it will put a smile of your face and you will show all of your friends!
This is a must buy under $100.
an EDC in the practical since.
Very well made as for mechanics and operation, however the blade design
makes it more of a collector/display piece
due to the extremely tapered point which
is so sharp and thin that it won't stand up to rough treatment.
Love the esthetics of the design and the
quality of materials for the price.
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that its so impractical. I have a godfather that has never been carried because its only true function is stabbing someone, not my thing. This one looked really cool and because of the price (thinkng lower quality thick blade) it appeared it could be an EDC, not really. The point is so sharp and delicate using it could only misshape it. Because of it's beauty, I don't want to wreck it.
Cool knife, but would not buy again. Probably should have learned from the God Father.
I've been carrying this a few days now, and have enjoyed using it on light tasks. It feels delicate, and as a result, I don't want to use it as an EDC blade.

Useful? Well... if useful means pleasing in its execution, fun and a great conversation piece, what else could you ask for? Yes, the tip is super-pointy and probably fragile compared to any modern self-defense/working blade. But I don't care. Any summer sausage or apple looking for trouble is gonna get cut, swiftly and with style. Seriously: if you have the means and can legally own and carry this knife, you owe yourself a treat.
