Kunwu Knives Excalibur

The Kunwu Knives Metal Complex Excalibur is a bold, unsubdued frame lock folder built for those who value strength, intention, and refined practicality over flash. Designed in collaboration with Metal Complex, whose experience spans thousands of knives across the production and custom spectrum, the Excalibur represents a deliberate effort to distill years of observation, critique, and hands-on use into a single, cohesive design.

Its clean, straightforward drop point blade is crafted from premium Vanax steel, a next-generation, nitrogen-alloyed super steel prized for its exceptional corrosion resistance, impressive edge retention, and high toughness. Unlike many high-hardness steels, Vanax maintains remarkable stain resistance even in harsh or humid environments, making it as practical in the field as it is reliable for everyday carry. The result is a blade that holds a keen edge through demanding use while shrugging off the elements with quiet confidence.

More than just a well-built folder, the Excalibur is the product of a “best-of” philosophy, with subtle influences drawn from some of the most respected knife designs ever made, refined and unified through an enthusiast’s lens. Every curve, contour, and mechanical choice reflects a focus on real-world usability, including secure ergonomics, robust lockup, and a balanced feel that speaks to both durability and control.

True to its name, the Excalibur carries an air of legend. Inspired by the mythical sword of King Arthur, this modern interpretation trades ornament for authority, pairing a robust frame lock construction with decisive ergonomics and commanding presence. It is not a showpiece pulled from stone, but a purpose-driven tool forged from experience, ready to perform whenever it is called upon.
