The 0630 folder is a collaboration between Zero Tolerance and Emerson Knives. This knife features the famous Emerson "wave shaped opening feature." The wave feature is designed so that the blade can be deployed as the knife is withdrawn from the pocket so it's ready for use instantly. The CQC-8 Bowie style blade is satin/stonewash finished S35VN stainless steel. Lockup is secure with a solid titanium frame lock with a hardened steel insert.

Awesome Tactical/EDC Blade
Tina H.
This is my first (and definitely not my last) ZT knife. I am a fan of Emerson designs, but I feel that they lack in quality, so I never got one. Then I saw this knife, a beefed-up version of the CQC-8 produced by ZT. I didnít hesitate in buying it, and Iím very glad that I didn't. This is a very nice, heavy duty knife. It has a very good blade shape for both EDC and self-defense, plus the satin/stonewashed S35VN looks amazing. This is my fastest opening knife due to the Emerson wave which works really well. The knife arrived VERY sharp, although the detent is very stiff at first, it smooths out in about a day. The handle is quite ergonomic and comfortable, the G-10 is nicely done and the stonewashed titanium backside looks amazing. I had heard that some people had a problem with the lock disengaging, but mine hasnít failed once. Over all this is and excellent knife and I HIGHLY recommend it.
Solid knife

This knife is built like a tank. Fit and finish are perfect. The detent on this knife does take awhile to break in. Until it is broken in, it is hard to open with the thumb disk. That is the reason I gave it 4 stars.

This thing will write you a bedtime story, then read it back to you. And it'll probably cut you twice along the way.

Excellent knife, awesome ergonomics, beefy and solid yet surprisingly nimble. I can't imagine carrying anything else, and the wave feature is friggin amazing.

Buy. This. Knife.
Well built. Wave opening is good, thumb stud is useless.

Really like it if I use the wave opening feature. Solid build. Only thing I don't like is the pivot to thumb stud position as it makes it almost impossible to thumb only open. If they moved the thumb stud a few mm towards the tip it would make a world of difference in the pivot leverage for opening the blade.
Good deal on closeout @ $160!
Nice collaboration

I have many Emerson's and ZT's, so I thought this marriage knife was a must have. It is very well made and has the beautiful Emerson blade. My only concern is that the detent on mine is very strong. It is impossible to open with one hand using the thumb disc. Once the detent is broken it is very smooth. I am sure it will break in, but the detent is the only reason it did not get a 5.
Awesome Knife (so far)

I have only had this knife for a few days now, but I can already tell I'm in love. The quality and fit and finish out of the box is superb. Very smooth, great detent and a beautiful S35vn blade, not to mention the excellent wave feature. I would not hesitate to buy this knife at all. I may even buy the cf version if/when it comes out. The ZT 0630 is an A+ blade.
Great Knife

An emerson wave on a knife being made by someone other then emerson. Whats not to love? Feels like 8x the quality of a real emerson. Solid Lockup Solid manufacturing. But s35vn for this price not so great. Elmax would have been better.
Built better.

I just got mine and I can already tell its a little more refined than the 0620 that I also own. Its smoother and not as stiff out of the box. The gimping on the thumb ramp is also a bit sharper and more effective. Plus I feel S35vn is an upgrade in blade material.
