The Spyderco Para 3 is a compact version of the spectacular Paramilitary 2 folding knife. Like its bigger brother, the Para 3 has the Compression Lock, textured G-10 scales, and a full-flat ground blade. It's available in several different handle/blade variations and a regular or lightweight set-up.
The Spyderco Paramilitary series changed the game for mid-sized folding knives when it was released to wide acclaim in 2004. It scaled down the significant profile of the Military to a more pocket friendly size while maintaining the strength and integrity of the original design. Since that time variations and updates have included the Paramilitary 2, and the smallest models in the line the Para 3 and the Para 3 Lightweight. No matter which Paramilitary model you choose, you're guaranteed a solid and versatile folding knife for any occasion.
Which Para 3 Should I Get?
The Para 3 is available in a regular G-10 model or a lightweight FRN edition. The blade size and handle profile remain the same, although the Lightweight is .9 oz lighter and employs a wire pocket clip and a CTS-BD1N blade. It's available in Black G-10, Gray G-10, Digi-Camo G-10, and Black FRN for the Lightweight Edition.
