Description

Description

The Kershaw Leek knife is one of the sleekest assisted opening knives around. The Leek is a spectacular Ken Onion designed knife with Kershaw's patented SpeedSafe technology. Give the ambidextrous thumb-stud a push and the knife takes over opening the blade the rest of the way. This is an ideal one-handed opener. The Leek is a Ken Onion design.

This 1660CB Leek model features a composite blade made of Sandvik 13C26 & D2 steels with a copper accent. The 410 stainless steel framelock handle with reversible pocket clip and tip safety lock so the blade won't fire by accident.

Overall I like (and will keep) this knife for all the reasons that everyone likes the Leek in its many variations.
But just be aware that the D2 and Sandvik are NOT two distinct colors as shown above. The copper line in the seam is nicely visible, but there is almost no difference in the finish or color of the two steels. Whether the image above was PhotoShopped or just a trick of lighting I can't say, but it's not what the knife actually looks like.
Best looking and functioning EDC

I bought this knife because it's something that looks nice enough to carry all the time, that's not an aggressive design, while still maintaining that spring assisted design. The two toned design is more faint than it appears in the picture, but it becomes more prominent with age and use. Plus, if you ever need a new blade, it's only $10 to get a new blade from Kershaw.
Best little folder ever!

My dad originally owned this knife for awhile. It was his favorite knife he ever carried. Because of how reliable it was, he bought two! Whenever he pulled it out, it would draw attention from anybody he was near. After he bought a Benchmade, he gave his leek to me, and I've been using it with no complaint whatsoever. It feels great, stays sharp, and looks amazing!
