Description:
This Spyderco Delica 4 knife has a blue FRN handle and a full-flat ground VG-10 stainless steel blade that is satin finished with a plain cutting edge.
The blade on the Delica is premium VG-10 stainless steel from Seki-City Japan and features spine jimping that extends from the ramp to the top of the handle. The Spyderco original thumb hole on the blade allows ambidextrous one-hand opening for right or left handers and the phosphor bronze washers at the pivot make the blade action smooth. The Delica has a lightweight FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle with skeletonized stainless steel liners and a strong back lock mechanism. The handle features screw construction for quick, simple cleaning and adjustment. The FRN scales utilize Spyderco's patented Bi-Directional Texturing to keep your hand from slipping under pressure. The pocket clip is 4-way reversible for tip-up/down and left/right carry.
The Delica is a smaller version of the Spyderco Endura knife. Both knives have been extremely popular over the years thanks to their lightweight, high performance build and affordable price.
You can't beat this folder. Light weight, sturdy handle, great lock and excellent blade.
I purchased this particular model for my wife. It was smooth and sharp out of the box. She really like this product. Best, Pat
I have dozens of knives to choose from. I seem to grab this one and carry it for weeks at a time. Light, slim and capable! I'd like Spyderco to expand of the handles and steels. VG10 is fine. Love me Spyderco knives and I really adore this Delica!
I own and love the delica and it has been my EDC for over a year. Whenever not in school I’d have the delica with me even at the fire house where it has gotten plenty of use.
Its awesome for EDC
This knife has wonderful ergonomics and with it being lightweight It just hides away and is perfect for every everyday carry task you can throw at It
I have a Delica gen 1 that I carry on a daily basis for the last 27 years. I recently purchased a Delica 4 and love it. I'm looking forward to another 27 years with this knife.
Love the color, design, overall feel, and the functionality. Can't go wrong with adding this to your collection.
This was my first Spyderco knife and I really enjoy it! It's a great EDC knife and I can see it lasting me a long time. Looking forward to getting it dirty and broken in.
I have more expensive knives. Nicer quality knives. Knives from 20 dollars all the way to 300 dollars. Just something about the opening action, the size, the smoothness, the back lock, just everything about this knife is perfect. I switch it up and buy knives regularly but this one always finds its way back in my pocket. I’ll be buying another one soon and probably some custom scales. Delica 4s are my end all be all knives. Just get it, you won’t be disappointed
This knife goes with me everywhere. The size and shape are great pairing that with the light weight makes for a great EDC that I carry almost everyday.
My Delica 4 (in the near-patented "Ben Blue") is a knife that I seem to find sneaking its way into my pocket more and more often. Between its ability to hold an edge and its sturdy, battle-ready frame, the Delica is a reliable workhorse that I always trust when I need something (or many somethings...) cut. It makes its presence known when you need it, and disappears in the pocket when you don't. All for a price that's tough to beat!
I’ve owned and carried this Delica 4 for years on end! It’s been used and abused and still asks for more. One of the best knives i own!
I love it so much that i had to get this blue handle. My first Delica is the black titanium carbonitride blade. The Delica is just the right size to EDC and super lightweight in my pocket. Strong, lightweight and dependable.
Love this knife; it’s small, affordable, easy to sharpen, lightweight, and fits well in the pocket. You know it’s a great EDC knife when you forget that it’s in your pocket because it’s so light. Thanks Nutnfancy!!!
Got this knife in “Ben” blue and love it! I have several Spydercos (wife says I have a problem) but for everyday use the Delica 4 is my favorite. So light you forget it’s in your pocket but awesome slicer and great ergos. You need this knife!
I purchased this knife for myself and loved it so much, I gave it to all my groomsmen as well. The Spydie hole is perfect for one handed opening (even with gloves). The detent on opening is stronger compared to other Spyderco knives (Manix/Para2/Para3) but you can still Spydie flick it open. Very comfortable in your hand. FRN handle material is very durable. Overall a great knife that I would buy again.
After wanting a Spyderco for years I finally pulled the trigger and bout this knife and was instantly in love! It is the perfect size for every task I’ve put in front of it and even though it is the smaller cousin it gets the job done! I’ve bought several other knives in the last 2 years since I bought this and I always end up back with this as my EDC! Can not recommend this enough!
I carry a Delica nearly every day. It is the perfect knife for me. Big enough to get the job done and won’t scare anyone when you open a box at the office. Fits well in the pocket. I have a few different colors and blade steels to choose from. The ZDP-189 Steel is my favorite, holds a razor sharp edge for a long time. The full flat grind makes it an efficient slicer.
This is a timeless knife that meets the expectations of anyone who uses it. I take this knife with me when I go fishing, and I feel good knowing that it can cut through my bait and line with ease. It is also very useful with any cutting tasks around the house and is very easy to sharpen. I would recommend to any first time knife buyer.
Love this knife. That blue was love at first sight. Affordable too.
This knife is a beauty for such a cheap price. The knife has such a nice sharp edge with the spyderhole it works perfect. The size and weight just make it an overall great knife.
I absolutely love the Delica 4, it has been my EDC knife for many years. I appreciate the lightweight, great cutting abilities and easy sharpening. I have many other versions of the delica, but the FRN version is great for EDC. I have other versions in G10, titanium, etc. But love the FRN for it's lightweight. You can't go wrong with this knife.
This knife was one of my very first higher quality knives. Growing up I always carried knives from a jockey lot. For the ladies this knife is the perfect size in my opinion. It’s small enough to fit in your pocket comfortably, yet, it’s big enough to take a beating. Will never get rid of this knife! Love it!
if I had to carry only one knife for the rest of my life this would be it it just disappears in your pocket with the slim profile. It gets the job done
I carry this knife more than any of my others , holds a edge longer than my others , a must have !
Love my blue delica, it rides in my duty bag as a back up knife for when I may get caught without a knife on my person/ or loose one at work, so that I will always have access to a reliable knife!
I love this knife. I bought it for edc, and it hasn't left my pocket yet. I also ordered a deep pocket clip (MXGear from amazon), which made all the difference. Great edge!
I’m a welder by trade and use and abuse my knives but this knife stands up to my every day use . Not only is it affordable for me but dosnt mind cutting abrasives, insulation , rubber fittings etc. it stays sharp for when I need it . It also hold up against the grinding dust that constantly fills my pockets . This is my favorite knife
I have nearly 200 hundred knives in my collection that I carry regularly. Everyday starts with a Delica 4 in my pocket and then I add to it. You simply cannot beat the slim profile, great cutting performance and personal touch options available. It's a do-all tool that simply gets it done, I'm never without one. Buy with Confidence!
I have never had a knife where as soon as I got it, I immediately felt at home when it was In my grip. Until I got my delica. I’m not crazy about the back lock but it makes up for it with price and with a relatively good steel
Fantastic edc knife. Everything from the size to the fit to the steel. It may not be a super steel but it is easy to sharpen, it takes a wicked edge and for the price it is a knife you wont feel bad abusing!
I'm not going to go over all the reasons why this knife is so great, as there are thousands of reviews all over the web about that. What I am going to mentinon are two cons, one that's always mentioned, and one that is not. First, as many other people have stated, it would be nice if it came with a deep carry clip. That's an easy enough problem to solve though, since there are plenty of aftermarket clips out there available for this knife. Second, my main issue with this knife (and franky ALL Spyderco knives that say "Seki-City Japan" on the blade is how sharp the edges of the Spyderco hole come from the factory. I have three Spyderco knives that were made in the US, and all of them came with a hole that doesn't feel like it's cutting your thumb when you use it, but on every one of my Seki-City knives (so far that is two Delicas, an Endura, and a Ladybug) the hole is simply too sharp around the edge to use comfortably and thus requires some attention with a finger and some sandpaper, which I feel should not be required for a knife at this price point. Bottom line is: buy the knife, you won't regret it, but be aware that in order to really enjoy it you might need to find a way to make a smooth, small chamfer in the edge of the Spyderco hole.
One of the best edc knives for the money.
I've carried this knife almost everyday for over a year and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Pros: very light weight, wicked sharp right out of the box, sturdy lockup. Cons: nope
My favorite Spyderco! Lightweight simple design is tough and razor sharp right out of the box.
Nice knife, not the prettiest but it cuts and has decent steel.
All around awesome knife very light great edc slides into pocket. Love this knife.
Amazing for edc. Strong and smooth. Only thing is I'm not a fan of backlock knifes and even then I still love it.
This knife is very comfortable for me personally, more so than the endura, and I’m a big fan of the blue scales with the black pocket clip. Wish the steel was a little better, but it’s not terrible. Love delicas. Shipping as always is super quick from blade HQ.
Delica is classic Spyderco goodness! Great EDC!
It's everything I hoped it would be. The frn scales are way better than I thought they would be and it fits perfect in hand. I would highly recommend and bladehq is great! Ordered on Sunday night and got it out of my mailbox on Wednesday.
pros: This knife is perfection, its thin and carries well, its light, its very strong, its easy to sharpen, easy to open, and it slices better than other knives I have. I have hard used this knife for 2 years and there is no blade play. cons: The pocket clip could allow for deeper carry, but lately I just throw it in my pocket and it carries better that way
This was my first Spyderco Knife and it's good but definitely over hyped. Too many people praise it but it's worth the money.
What's not to like. Works great, decent price. My usual EDC. I added a deep carry pocket clip, which is the only improvement I would like to see standard. Very solid knife.
This is a Spyderco Japanese classic! Awesome color! Lightweight, 3" cutting blade, with great ergonomics equals awesome EDC! But now there are compression locks that are lightweight, like the PARA 3 FRN lightweight.. Which I personally favor more, but still cannot go wrong with the Japanese Spyderco classic. Oldie but goodie!
Ive been carrying this at least 2 or 3 times a week since December. Normally i like bigger thicker knives but I absolutely love this one. It feels great in hand despite its smaller size, the flat grind makes every cutting task a breeze. This is my first knife with VG-10 and its my favorite mid range steel at the moment. Sharpens fast and keeps an awesome edge! I highly recommend this knife too anyone with a spare 70 bucks
This knife hits pretty much everything I'm looking for in a pocket knife. I wear dress clothes at work and don't like to carry a big knife that will tear up my delicate pantaloons! 😂 The Delica is small enough, but also sturdy enough for anything I need it to do. Plus, I love the size of the handle! I have a mini grip, and it just feels awkward. The longer handle on the Delica allows me to get a full, comfortable grip on the knife. Hey, if you can't hold it, you can't use it.
Just got this little guy about three days ago. I took it to the woods to see how it would preform. After beating it just a little, it has stayed razor sharp. Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is that the pivot screw got loose and made a little blade play, but that was an easy fix.
This is a good entry EDC. Has a good slim profile. I would recommend getting a deep carry clip. Shortly upgraded to the Para military 2 for better ergonomics.
Great EDC knife with a price that's hard to beat. If you're looking for a Spyderco that won't break the bank, this is it. Super light, razor sharp, and sits great in the pocket. Would be better with a deep carry clip, but still an all around great knife from Spyderco.
Great knife, insanely sharp and we'll made. The plastic had a few extremities, and the blade pick up finger prints, but they are easy to look past
Heard lots of good things about the DeLica, but also found out it's just not for me.
