The Zero Tolerance 0909 is a collaboration knife with famed knife-maker Les George. Based on the popular Talos knife, the 0909 was inspired by Les George's first production knife. Elegant curves define the profile of the knife with a rounded index finger contour, machined scoops at mid-handle, and a deep arc leading to the blade tip give the 0909 it's unique character. Premium materials include an S35VN blade steel, G-10 handle scales, and extra-thick liners. A reversible, deep-carry pocket clip allows the knife to ride low in the pocket for comfortable everyday carry. The Zero Tolerance 0909 will make a great addition to your EDC rotation!

Built like a Tank.

This thing lives up to the expectations. One of the best sounding knives I have to open, opens with authority. Great blade to handle ratio as well.
My first ZiT..

I just received my first ZiT, a recently discontinued ZT 0909 with S95VN blade. Yes, it is heavy. But, in my jean's pocket I barely notice it. The knife arrived very sharp and the company will resharpen it free, for life. Tip up carry puts the flipper at your finger tip when withdrawn. The flipper takes an intentional and moderately strong pull to fire. Once the resistance is overcome the blade fires hard and with a nice sound. Dont fire it off around anyone unexpectedly. And it won't open gently. Blade design allows for a long cutting edge. The G10 scales are "grippy" without being rough. Pocket clip does not allow deep carry but I've tugged on, and wiggled the knife, and it stays put. The adjustment nut faces inward, in the pocket. It does not interfere with removal. I'll call this an "outdoors" or "around the farm" knife. Feels great in the hand. If your hands are really big, the serrations on the flipper may, MAY irritate your forefinger. On the plus side the large handle and flipper allows gloved hand use, again, suggesting an "outdoors" or† "work" knife. Opinion; I like this knife. It's a keeper.
Dad even liked it

I have quite a few knives and this is my dads favorite. Big, heavy, and over built to the point it feels more like a fixed blade. The detent was very stiff at first and breaking it in made my fingers sore. Once broken in the action is great. Might buy another

Compared to ZTís fancier knifes some might consider it a bit plain. But once you get it in your hand you realize how well designed it is. Great gripping surface that is great for wet hands.

I understand that it has been discontinued and that is probably why it is on sale. So the price is right and it is time to buy the ďHumveeĒ of folders if yo like tough folders.

Heck Iím going to pretty it up with blue titanium screws :) Yup! Like racing stripes on a Humvee,

This knife is exactly what I would expect from people. Dependable, strong, sharp and useful. I have many great knives (microtech, protect, bench made, SOG, tops, etc) But this EDC is the best you can do. I usually go the automatic route but this knife is way more dependable and solid.
I baby all my knives but this sweetie is for using. If I could carry my Tom brown tracker everyday I would but this knife is my Cadilac. Made in the USA and at a great price. You can count on this knife so always keep it close. And donít let your friends use it, just let them admire it. Seriously, great knife at a good price, solid and simple, not over designed. But it if you can

Amazing steel beautiful design, and great price. Overbuilt knife that will probably never break on your edc tasks.

ZT has sort of strayed away from their roots lately, but this is a return to what made them so great- over built, unbelievably capable, top of the line folding knives. The 0909 is an over built, extremely tough, extremely capable knife. The one thing that generally turns me off to overbuilt knives, overly thick blade stock- but this knife manages to still be a great slicer even with a beefy blade stock. The full flat grind comes down to a really thin edge that does its job exceedingly well. The detent is perfectly dialed in so that the knife fires open with authority and the pivot is so smooth it falls shut under its own weight. I generally don;t like larger, beefy knives for edc but- this one is an exception- shame they are discontinuing it.
ZT perfection

Don't know why this knife was discontinued. .but everybody else's loss is my gain. Ordering a second at such a cheap price was no brainer. I got some custom CF scales made for my 1st and the new one will be my work knife. Love this blade...
Tremendous Value on a Great Knife

It's a pity that ZT has chosen to discontinue this knife. It's a bit heavier than some and it's a liner lock, which probably turns people off in this day and age of frame lock knives. But what a liner lock it is! The liners are as thick as any frame and lock the knife up tight and solid. The s35vn blade is finished in a gorgeous satin with the trademark George belly. It's takes a great edge without any trouble and holds it better than most. The G10 scales are understated and excellent. But make no mistake - while the knife is attractive, it is a no-frills, heavy duty working folder. It'll do just about anything you ask of it. It really is a classic and at this price, if you don't have one, buy it before they're gone. You won't be sorry.

You could easily pay twice the price for half the knife. It's that good! It's not showy, in fact it approaches ugly. But this knife is the definition of overbuilt and the function dictates the form. If you are looking for an exceptional bargain in a larger EDC that is built like a tank then you need to snap one up at this crazy price before they are gone for good.
I decided to buy only titan handle, integral lock, ZTs for my collection. But then, because of the closeout sale price, I decided to give this one a try. What a wonderful surprise! This Les George designed knife is through and through a ZT (and all that this trademark means!). Everything is tops with this knife. Everything! And in addition it is as strong as iron ore -- a true workhorse! Want my advice? BUY IT!

This knife is one of my favorites. The G10 wears so well and the edge was top notch out of box. The only thing I dislike is the pocket clip is very thin and it bent in my pocket. Which wasn't a big deal, you just need a leathermen to bend it back. I brought it into the field for a month and used it pretty hard the entire time. The edge is still working and I only noticed some slight rust after about 2 weeks into it. Which was easily taken off with some CLP. The open construction makes it really quick to clean, and the action is perfect on the flipper. I would totally buy this knife again if I had to
Solid, High Quality - Love it!

This is one of my favorite ZT knives. The liner lock is thick and strong, and I love having textured G10 scales on both sides for a secure, comfortable grip. I'm done with knives that have all metal scales - Ti or not!

The detent on this knife is excellent _ stays securely closed until you want it open and then it fires hard, especially great because it is non-assisted. I definitely prefer non-AO knives, and this is one of the best in my opinion.
