Description:

The locals in Peru call the meanest, nastiest ant of the jungle by the name "Isula". We know it as the Bullet Ant. The Bullet Ant is known to be independent, tough, light on its feet, and a real aggressive survivor - the IZULA knife is built the same way. This knife is designed to be the perfect lightweight survival kit or concealed carry knife (or UNconcealed if you prefer). It comes in two sizes, the Izula, and the Izula II with a longer handle and micarta scales. Both have the same blade, so sheaths for one will match the other. The Izula might just be the smallest survival fixed blade out there. It weighs next to nothing, so why not throw one in your pack? Two is one, one is none!

ESEE Knives are made in the USA and offer the most thorough warranty on the market. They're built for a lifetime!

Customer Reviews

Favorite knife!!!!
Victor s. on Jan 19, 2019

The 1095 steel has noticably higher performance than any of my 8cr13mov blades, quit buying those pleb-tier knives because it's actually worth spending the $50.00. Easy to sharpen and strop - not only because of the type of steel, but also the shape of the blade curve is extremely ergonomic to pivot when hand sharpening. The very tip of the blade straitens out right at the end so you don't struggle to sharpen that last little bit. Very sexy looking, especially when you customize it with your own beads and paracord. The powder coating is very robust, it's not gonna scrape off under heavy use. It's a bit large and visible for a neck knife though, but I don't wear concealed so it's fine for me. Came with some cool stickers and survival cards.

Good conceal

I love this knife!!! I added the micarta handle after carrying it for a month and it got even better.... I even ordered my lady a purple on and engraved it for her.... Sheath is plastic and works very well....has a break in period but it isn't too bad once you have worked it enough....

Good knife !!

The knife speaks for itself. Great quality as you would expect from ESEE.

Winner
Melvin M. on Jan 20, 2018

For me, it is a winner knife because I have tested it on anything and it is very good. It can cut, chop, slice, and be thrown and precisely hit a target around 8 meters. It is very well balanced and can be easily field sharpen. I am very pleased in owning this US made knife and I am very satisfied in its overall quality. I highly recommend this as a back up knife.

Great knife. Fast shipping

The knife speaks for itself. Great quality as you would expect from ESEE. Came razor sharp. My order was placed on Thurs and arrived on Tues (Labor Day weekend). I am extremely pleased with ESEE and BLADEHQ!!!

Sturdy little knife
Cameron S. on Oct 6, 2018

I keep this knife in my survival kit. It feathers sticks with little effort, despite its small stature. The red color really makes it an eye catcher as well! Thanks BHQ for your great customer service as well!!

I love it

glad to own this knife

very happy with the esee Izula. The original handle-length does risk being small in my hand but I expected it to fit me and I'm satisfied. The Fire Ant Red color is not quite as close to blaze orange as the web site makes it look. I bought this color because it was cheaper, imagining I'd be stripping the powder coat off anyway. In the end I left the coating on the handle (it's a nice red), sanding it only off the blade because, as an edc, I wanted it to cut through food easier, and I care for my knives well and don't fear rust.

Such a good knife.

I recently got an Izula (red; and I splurged on the canvas Micarta scales). All I can say is good things. it's solid, simple, and beautiful. This is my favorite EDC now. In the plastic sheath (no clip attached, which it does come with, btw) it fits well in jean pockets. I'm expecting the red to come off, but it hasn't yet. This is not just painted. ESEE's powder coating method is pretty badass. After processing 4 walking staves (from raw, growing saplings or branches), exactly zero of the red coating chipped or peeled. There's a reason why this is a popular knife. It's that good. PS: Oh, my plastic sheath is not the one pictured. There are 4 holes, no slit, and the bottom bigger hole. No big deal, but expect it. I did order mine from BladeHQ as well.

You should give into the knife urges already

This thing was startlingly bright out of the package. Just what I wanted though. The knife came quickly from BHQ. Service was excellent as they even threw in a sticker since I asked for one lol. The knife came hair popping sharp and I'm sure will perform well. Knife comes with a bunch of stickers and info from ESEE as well as a belt clip with hardware. You can orient the knife horizontally if you don't put in two of the screws. The knife felt small in my extra large size hands but a paracord wrap really helped a lot. It now feels really nice and I think I found myself a new EDC fixed blade. 10/10 Thanks BHQ and ESEE

I like it.

Solid knife
Brighton W. on Mar 14, 2019

This is a solid knife. It holds an edge pretty well and it wasn't too hard to sharpen again. My only thing is that it tends to rust, but i knew this steep was prone to rust when i bought the knife so i can't really complain. It is a great knife for small tasks, but i highly recommend wrapping the handle for comfort. I would 100% buy it again and you can't beat Esee warranty!

Almost

I was so excited to receive this knife. I love the blade shape, the size, the weight and the red coating. Maybe it just needs a little use to knock the corners off, but right out of the box the handle is pretty uncomfortable. The edges of the handle are just a little too square making them uncomfortable. I really wanted to use this as a skeleton knife, but I think I'm going to have to get the micarta scales and maybe over time using it with them it will become comfortable enough to take them off.

It’s a nice neck knife
Michael H. on Mar 4, 2019

I bought this knife because I wanted something I could hook onto my water bag. I use it when I go cycling. It’s a good size for anything. The only downside I didn’t like is the blade will rust. It’s not extreme. no biggie just a quick swipe on a stone and it’s gone. It’s holds the edge well. The color is really nice! If this blade was rust resistant I’d give it more stars.
