Description

Description

This IZULA has a skeletonized 1095 carbon steel handle and flat ground blade with a black oxide finish. The handle on the IZULA includes a 1/2" long notched section at the spine, or "jimping." The handle of each knife is engraved with name, logo and unique serial number. Includes a durable black injection molded carry sheath.

The IZULA, from ESEE Knives. The locals in Peru call the meanest, nastiest ant of the jungle by the name "Isula". We know it as the Bullet Ant. The Bullet Ant is known to be independent, tough, light on its feet, and a real aggressive survivor - the IZULA knife is built the same way. This knife is a perfect lightweight survival kit or concealed carry knife.

This is a great EDC knife. Compact, sturdy, well made and can take a lot of abuse. I carry it scout carry or appendix carry and I can barely tell I have it on me. You can buy an Armatus sheath to replace the generic one that comes with it and you are set. You can paracord wrap it, buy G-10 scales or leave it skeletonized. This knife is very adaptable.
Durable

Crazy how much abuse such a small knife can take. It is very small and might not be a good choice for a lot of people but if you can use it comfortably it will be a favorite. Super strong knife, makes light work out of feather sticks. Low profile could be an edc fixed blade. You get your money’s worth from this knife.
No coating means better cutting performance

This is the Izula I use at work everyday. It comes with a heavy forced patina to prevent rust and corrosion instead of the standard coating. If you desire, you can clean the patina off and have a straight steel look with some oil and a somewhat abrasive sponge. You can't go wrong with any Izula but this one is practically begging for brutal use. The steel can be maintained simply with a rub against leather a few times a day, very easy to maintain shaving sharpness. I use this to cut cardboard, wood, silicone, rubber, carpet, zipties, cordage, plastic, for reaming, prying, and scraping and etc. I work in apartment maintenance and this sees repeated use daily. As much praise as the Izula gets, I think it deserves more.
