Description

Description

The Spyderco Bushcraft knife is the product of a three-fold collaboration between Tactical Bushcrafter Chris Claycomb, a Bushcraft website called BushcraftUK.com and Spyderco designers.

The Bushcraft knife has a 4" O-1 tool steel blade with a Scandinavian (Scandi) grind, meaning it has just a single bevel grind on each side for extreme strength. The polished black G-10 handle is thick and contoured for performance and comfort. Spyderco's Bushcraft knife comes with a lanyard hole and a premium leather sheath with belt loop.

First of all its a beautiful knife but that's also part of the reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 because they used a high polish g10 for the handle instead of something that provides a little better grip like a lower polish g10 or a canvas/linen micarta. It is amazing ergonomically ZERO hot spots But once it gets wet its a bit slick. The blade grind is great for wood working and I really enjoy the 01 tool steel over 1095 (Both steels are pretty high maintenance and require a high attention to detail to keep from corroding ) which is the industry standard for fixed blades. The leather sheath is FANTASTIC, very well fit to the knife and a very high attention to detail.
