I have carried the Ken Onion design Kershaw before it was called Blur. The new one with the Blue accent caught my eye. This design has simply been the best I have ever used and carried. The spring assist is clean, strong and secure. The weight and feel of the knife is second to none I have ever used. The best part for me has been the blade staying sharp, but as needed, easy to keep sharp as well. This knife did not disappoint. It's everything it's predecessors have been.
Ok, I'll admit it, this is my first real "flipper" knife.. and the blue and black scale is what got me.. I had some other beater knives from far off foreign lands, but this says made in the USA on the blade..great action, the blade came flying out the first time, no need to practice like some others.. Some have said they have have a problem with the way the blade closes, too much resistance, I like that. It's kind of a "safety" to keep from chopping ones fingers..Great knife!! glad I bought it at even a greater price, from a great company..love the videos, Thanks Blade HQ..
Love the blur, sits so seamless in the pocket and feels great in hand. the blade shape is spectacular for everyday use and still easy to sharpen. Holds an edge for a decent amount of time while being able to be used daily. I was skeptical at first of getting a kershaw without the flipper stud, but i can saw with the thumb stub it still opened easily and effortlessly. highly recommend.
Bought one of these for my brother in law for Christmas. I loved it so much, I bought one for myself. It's out of the box razor sharp, looks fantastic, and feels great in the hand. Another nice design from Ken Onion, made by Kershaw in America. Overall, it's a very nice EDC knife that every knife nut should own. Highly recommended!
Don’t like assisted knives generally, but this knife is amazing! Blade to handle ratio is awesome! Super smooth, and I love the assist on this knife closing it is super easy and the studs are great on it for opening it. Also the rubberized inserts are great for keepin this in hand and it’s super ergonomic! Everyone should own a blur the ones with the higher end steels are excellent but the sandvik steel works just fine.
This is a great knife. It came shaving sharp from the factory and has a nice action. The inserts on the handle provide more than adequate grip, but are rough on the hands when reaching into your pocket.
