The latest iteration of the Paramilitary 2 is here and hot! The knife was advertised as having blue G-10 handle scales, but we feel blurple is more appropriate. The blade sports premium CPM-S110V steel with it's superior edge retention qualities.

The Paramilitary 2 knife features a number of inspiring revisions. The revised handle has a thinner profile at the end to improve the ergonomics and the ambidextrous four-way reversible pocket clip rests deeper in the pocket as well. The blade has an elongated profile, with an increased cutting edge, finger choil and thumb ramp. Implementation of a new Bushing Pivot System generates fluid action and more consistent manufacturing tolerances. The Para-Military still has the solid and confidence inspiring Compression Lock on the handle spine. Lastly, the size of the lanyard hole has been generously increased, giving the user more carry options. This all results in more than just change for the sake of change, it's a real improvement on an already great knife.

Not much that I can say that hasn't been said already

Took about 15 minutes to break in. It will now fall shut. Compression lock is a great thing. Deadly sharp, sexy colors and great ergonomics. The tip comes to a needle point so be wary if you plan on prying at all (which you should never do!) All in all I do recommend. How ever if you're looking to save 100$ just buy the Ontario rat 1, it's ergonomics are just as good if not better because the rounded off scales.
The best, without hesitation
Years after it's release, other companies are still chasing the PM2. I own many ZT, BM and MT knives, but this knife captures what those companies haven't figured out yet. Make a super sexy knife that can be EDC, emergency tactical, lightweight/simple, small in the pocket but large in the hand, and AFFORDABLE. The PM2 strikes the balance between all of these quite gracefully, which is why it is such a homerun. Blurple and S110V is just a bonus! But I like using different steels based in different day-to-day situations. Make a DLC version of this and I will buy 3 I-kid-you-not.

I'm patiently waiting for Spyderco to update the PM1 to make it tip-up. Being a stronger blade geometrically, the PM1 fits the only role that the PM2 falls short, and that is very hard use. Be careful you don't chip the delicate tip on your PM2.
If you're considering Para2 or Para3 - start with Para2

This folder is so sweet. The color is beautiful. I started with Para3, then got Military4, and lastly this. Love the Military in G10, but for rotation EDC, I prefer the Para2 to Para3. It's a tough call since the para3 is lighter, but this blue American beauty feels so nice in the hand, and deploys effortlessly from from tip down carry. Solid no-play lockup and construction. Hope this helps! E

This is not only my first PM2 but it's my first Spyderco in general and I have to say I'm in love. It's larger than I thought it would be which is good, it's exceptionally well put together, and it is wicked sharp out of the box. It feels really good in your hand and is a stable cutter. It's exceptionally well put together for the cost of much lesser knife. After sitting on the fence for years, I'm 100% sold on the PM2.

Hello Paramilitary 2! This knife just feels amazing. I feel like this knife is going to last forever and the blurple is pure eye candy! Scary sharp out of the box.

I own two S-30v Paramilitary 2s and they are by far some of my most favorite EDCs in my collection. I didn't think it could get any better but the S-110v is a beautiful and amazing upgrade. It's an amazing knife and still after years the PM2 is one of the best EDCs to ever be presented.
Spyderco does it right!

Back in college, I went through a short phase of compulsive knife-buying, starting with a Benchmade 950 Rift and followed shortly after by 6 or 7 ZT folders. Back then, I thought bigger knives were cool and couldn't understand why other dudes (like Nutnfancy) got off on light blades.
After graduating and getting married, my wife and I went through a period of financial strain and away the knife collection went. Fast forward to 2.5 years later.

Nutnfancy's love affair with and praise for Spyderco blades drew me in, as he often says, like a tractor beam. My lust over Spyderco blades has since been made stronger by the fact that their corporate headquarters is within 15 minutes of my home in Lakewood, Colorado.

Within the last year or so, my financial situation took a turn for the better and I can now afford to buy knives whenever I want.
My first Spyderco was the Manix 2 in blurple, followed by my most recent purchase, the PM2 in blurple. These two knives stoke me to no end. The fit and finish is as good as or better than any other production folder I've ever owned, including the $300 ZT blades. These two blades take it a step further by offering best-in-class ergos and gimping and are beautifully put together.
I'm very confident in saying that you will love this knife, and I challenge any of you to find a sub-$200 knife with the attention to detail and quality of my beloved Blurple PM2.
If you want a high-end production knife but you don't want to pay the entry fee of other companies (i.e., Benchmade, ZT, etc.), check out the Spydie PM2 and Manix2 in the s110v blurple configuration. You'll freaking love them.

As a special note, I do like Benchmade and ZT knives, but the Spyderco PM2 takes the cake.
PM2;... A great knife

Great knife, ready to go out of the box. Sharp, smooth, tight lock up. A great deal.

Let me know when the para 3 comes out with the blue/purple scales. What a great color!
Perfect knife, great steel

The PM2 is about perfect for everything. S110V has been a great steel with excellent sharpness and edge retention. I have not seen a spec of corrosion on any of my S110V knives. The PM2 is perfect.
Absolute Perfection

This PM2 makes other knives look like a joke. The quality and design of it make it a go-to that is reliable and aesthetically appealing. I have no issues with the one I received.
Snuck past quality control

I love the paramilitary 2 itself just not the one i got.

It was Gritty to open,
It had a good amount of blade play and one of the pocket clip screws did not lineup when I switched the clip to tip up carry

But after I fixed all that stuff the knife is great and the steel is amazing

And as always Blade HQ's service is amazing!!! Good job Blade HQ
Perfection/ Must buy!

I own the M4 para2 and the tactical s35v para 2. This knife is my edc and the edge retention is amazing which is to why it my favorite of the three. Must buy!!!
My first pm2

Im glad I waited for a supersteel for my first pm2. Cutting performance is beautiful as well as fit and finish. My blue g10 a lot darker than the one listed on this photo and its not translucent. I get bored of black g10 and this dark blue g10 really stands out in my knife rotation. Love the ergos and light weight as well. A lot sharper than my sebenzas.
Holy sharp right out of the box Batman!

I feel like my scales are a bit darker than most pictured. Not complaining, just an observation. This is my 2nd PM2 and I love it! Razor sharp right out of the box, the spider on the pocket clip is a nice touch too. The only "issue" I have is that the action is nowhere near as smooth as my original. Hoping that it breaks in over time.

Just when I though my favorite knife couldn't get any better they go ahead and put one of my favorite steels on it and make me fall in love all over again. Loved it in s30v. So yes I own a few para 2's now. I use a knife on a daily basis whether it's cutting carpet or cardboard and s110v is able to keep up with my needs. Ergo's are just as comfortable as ever. Open and close one handed. Get one now they won't be around forever!!
Fantastic steal on fantastic steel

Been flipping and using this knife non-stop. I love the edge retention, and well, it is also the Paramilitary 2. So, basically, best versatile folding knife with the best steel (for my daily uses) and at a very reasonable price. Pick one up and enjoy the carbidey goodness.
so can't wait for this to come.

Got this as a gift. it was ordered today. Been on the hunt for this for a few months. If it's anything like my Dark earth brown with s35vn steel sprint run I'm sure I will be overwhelmed. I will update the review when I have mine in hand. I have seen it in person and the one I saw was a safe queen. I don't get them for collection dust. I get them for EDC use. This will be my first S110V blade.
3rd and 4th s110v para's.
Ryan B.
I have 4 of these s110v para's now and want more. That should be all you need to know. I really like the g10 color but it's not for everyone. I like micarta scales and have a guy who has made me OD green, Brown,Coral red and I'm waiting on Grey micarta scales. I have titanium and carbon fiber scales also. I love the s110v para 2 and look forward to the Native 5, Military and manix 2 in s110v this year. Blade HQ's service is always top notch and I really enjoy doing business with them. Thank you guys for all the great knives.
My First Spyderco....

This is the first spyderco knife I have owned. What attracted me to this knife was the coloring of the G-10 handle and the fact that they used CPM S110V. As soon as I removed the knife from the packaging I immediately fell in love with it.

The G-10 grip is extremely comfortable in my hands and that choil on the blade makes carving so much easier. There is also just the right amount of jimping.

I cannot say if the color of the grip is purple or blue. It is safe to say that it is "blurple" though. In low light it appears purple yet when you take it outside or shine light upon it, it turns more of a blue color.

So far the CPM S110V has been holding up wonderfully so far. It is wonderfully sharp and after putting it through some abuse it is still holding it's edge quite well.
