Customer Reviews
I own several Spydercos and can say this is one of my favorite, maybe better than my Shaman and that's saying alot because I love my Shaman but the grip in the hand with the PM2 s35vn and the blade slices so well, aaaah what a Gem.
Great knife overall, my first venture into something of this price point/ steel quality and I'm happy with it.
Only nit-picky things I could say are that I wish it came from factory with tools needed to swap the pocket clip (minor inconvenience) and that the compression lock takes a bit to get accustomed to if you're used to liner/ frame locks, BUT keeping my fingers out of harms way while closing, and the sheer smoothness of it make that more than worth the adjustment.
This knife has the best ergonomics of any that I own, when you hold it you will feel the quality! My friend referred to it as "that knife with the good ergos."
A PM2 will never let you down and it's made in the USA!
Perfect size for EDC
This PM2 is my first modern Spyderco, bought for EDC. I am moving off a Benchmade HK Axis, so I'll compare. The Benchmade Axis lock is the best in the industry in my opinion, so the PM2 compression lock is a bit of a downgrade in that regard, but not by much. Flip open using the thumbhole is a tad less easy than a stud, but easy to get over. Closing with the compression lock is ok, but not as graceful to close as an Axis lock.
The Benchmade was in D2, which held a good edge and was easy to sharpen, but was never razor-razor sharp. The PM2 in S35VN was sharper out of the box than even my other S30V knives. The flat grind on this PM2 and blade profile make it narrow to a scalpel-like tip - extremely sharp, but possibly at the expense of strength if you were doing things with it you shouldn't with a knife.
Fit and finish it is exceptional. It has a fine instrument-level of machining that I've not seen on anything else.
Brown scales? Love it.
All in all, this is a great knife and well worth the money.
This knife's ergonomics and cutting power are second to none...the size and weight are perfect,
The Spydie hole and compression lock are a work of genius that makes the very sharp blade smooth and easy to use one handed.
I liked the Earth Brown when I bought it and it's still my favorite color.
What a great blade, definitely worth the money!
Now besides the fun in the knife it works beautifully I work in a warehouse and i can't imagine a day without this in my pocket. Don't pass it up pick one up today like right now, after you finish reading this sentence.

The PM2 is built like a tank. This is a VERY tough knife. The open design makes it less likely to fill with dirt or lint, and contributes to the light weight. Even with my cell phone in the same pocket, it sits comfortably off to the side. Because it’s quite flat, it feels like it’s taking up less room than some smaller, rounder knives.
The only think I’m not thrilled about is that the dye from my jeans has rubbed off onto the scales over time, making them look a little dirty.
This isn’t the prettiest knife I own. It’s not the most expensive knife I own. But it’s the best knife I own.
